Luke Jephcott will be a free agent this summer. 7 in 36 this season but had a decent scoring record at Plymouth.

 

If he can reproduce the form that he began his Plymouth career with then he could be a great signing.

 

Good age too, if he could take us higher or to sell on. Re: Danny Johnson comment above, 15 last season I think, decent return, obviously Gent will know him, no upsell though at 30. However still would be a decent signing. Suspect he may be interesting Flynn at Swindon.

I think we need a genuine attacking left back option. Matt Penney maybe? Released by Ipswich. Or Mal Benning - superb left back at this level and hasn’t agreed a new contract with Port Vale - yet.

 

Penney played 1 game for us in 2017, genuinely cannot remember that

I wonder if we are interested in Chris Hussey? Left sided CB who has announced he is leaving Stockport, announced it himself before the retained list has even appeared with the belief that he is going to a promotion chasing team.

It looks like he only plays as a left sided CB in a 3 man CB unit these days after spending most his career as a left back and will be 35 this season. Doesn't look like age is causing him any problems though, he is still a threat with his set pieces with 3 goals and 8 assists this season. His last 3 seasons, promotion with Cheltenham, promotion with Vale, Wembley final with Stockport.
