It was clear early on that Doncaster were a poor side with no attacking intent on the day. As such it can be hard to break that down, patience was needed. We won't always come up against that sort of negativity and the players will get to read each other better as the season develops. But both Vernam and Periera would have been a big benefit on Saturday, they aren't ours anymore but we dont seem to have a natural replacement for either of them, Osadebe probably the closest to it. Have to see how Eisa does when back fit.

We don’t know if Donny are a poor side at all. It was up to us to attack and create changes.

They got a good point away in front of 19k fans and down to 10 men for over 45 mins.

If any team were poor on Saturday it was us because we could have still been playing now and we wouldn’t have scored.

I honestly believe this £10m figure came from a comment by @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler a year or two back, when he commented that in his opinion it would take £10m to buy the club AND take it forward at least div1 or higher

We now only have Chapman , who can realistically play wide. don't count Gilliead , he can not beat an egg. Its not Sutton's forte. not sure of Ryan east's actual position, is he a wide player. We need two wide men in in my view. Osadibe out till the spring probably and Eisa, who knows.

Exactly what DB told me the other week Dave. Interest is there, but not at his asking price. He also told me what other clubs with more assets have gone for, which makes Mr Rupp's valuation an absolute joke.

I would not want to take him out of the middle, we need a new wide man. It would be a desperate move to put Walker out wide.

That might be so, but i do not like our strikers feeding off scraps. Cook Oliver and Harratt, all look like players that thrive on meeting good crosses into the box.

It’s a nice sentiment but no one is parting with 8-10mill because there are big crowds.
My point goes back to the club having no assets to make Rupps valuation realistic. If we had our own training facility and our own ground then that figure would be realistic. That’s why Plymouth are seeing 4million pounds worth of investment for just a 20% share. They have things of value. You wouldn’t spend 20k doing up a rented house would you?
I don’t really care that we train at Woodhouse Grove. A lot of clubs use private owned facilities or facilities owned by the local authority but those clubs are the ones who will be forever knocking around the lower divisions. Like we have, for most of our history.

Not really interested whose quote, nor catchphrase it is. Use it by all means if I throw names or insults around to you , differences of opinion are frequent and expected, but let’s not take it further eh.

Yes I've heard others make that kind of statement but heard nothing from Stephan himself.
