A lot of it is pure guesswork.

 

My guess is either Watt on a 2 year deal or Bamba on a one year deal……

 

I hope it’s one of them or it could be the lad from Hartlepool they said he was meant to sign

 

But it will probably be the away kit launch

 

I doubt it’ll be the away kit, I think that will be launched Friday and be played in at BPA.

 

The lower league look (sponsored by WAGMI) Tweeted there would be some big news for City today. They tweeted some words in capital letters, the first letter of which when put together spells Odusina.

 

Can you make an exception for 4-2-3-1?

Think I saw LLL have ruled us out of Bamba. Id much prefer Odusina over Sol.

Id be surprised if Osudina came now. Hudds lad on loan, Songoo, Platt, foulds, staunton and Kelleher all for CB at the moment.

RB is looking a weaker area, unless Threlkeld and Sutton are considered backup.

 

Odusina I'm expecting to be announced today. The only signing left on the original leaked rumour or weeks ago by the city vent. Funny some are claiming to be itk, if he does sign it was posted ages ago.

 

The latter three are not good enough at CB for a promotion chasing side in my opinion.
Given Songo’o might at times be needed in midfield (hopefully not), I do think we need another senior centre back.
I wouldn’t be happy going into the season with only 3 centre backs including Songo’o personally (appreciate that’s due my opinion the others aren’t good enough)

 

There was a strong rumour that we have signed the 19 year old midfielder Brunt from Sheffield United on a 2 year deal , could be him.

 

Still think we need depth at CB. Critchlow and Platt are natural CBs, Songoo and Foulds aren't. Staunton you'd expect to be sent out on loan, Kelleher isn't good enough and might leave. For a promotion winning squad we need real quality cover/competition. He's exactly the type of player we still need IMO, and think he could be a key signing

 

Exactly right. Songo'o is a DM who was forced into doing a job for us at CB. Kelleher looks every inch an average NL centre back, Foulds is really a full back and Staunton is very much unproven and probably needs a loan. If we're serious about pushing for automatic promotion, we need another quality CB and a quality RB.

 

Agreed. I'd also argue that in addition to the quality RB we're also crying out for, we need a real goalscorer. Perhaps an older/more experienced striker. If we could move 5/6 our be it permanently or on loan, id like to see those 3 areas addressed
