Evans can play at RB too (if he stays), so like you say, plenty of cover there but it would be nice to have a dedicated first choice RB rather than another season of make do and mend in that position.

 

Oh its an absolute must. But using our budget to also bring in cover is a waste when we already have options.

 

All this talk about a new RB needed I think we need to look at the LB position because as it stands we don't have one.

 

Vernam needs to step up this season and could be a big player for us and could do really well with Adams style of play.

 

Left and right fullbacks a centre back 2 midfielders and 2 forwards

 

Vernan is very poor

 

He's definitely got ability, we just haven't seen much of an end product as yet.

 

I am hoping Crankshaw comes good this coming season he can play left or right and has the potential to be a good player

 

Unfortunately that’s been a recurring theme over the last few seasons with a few players.

 

I agree that the 7 signings need to be pushing to start

lets see how he is now we’ve got a manager in charge

 

All 22 should be pushing for a start it’s a squad game and Adams forte seems to be getting the best out of players

 

Serious question. Is he any better at CB? Only asking because I don't know

 

I suspect Staunton will be challenging for the left back position, if not the first choice

 

He certainly has the confidence and ability to nail down the left back spot.

 

Let's be honest here. You need at least four Anthony O'connors to get anywhere near one Andrew Davies

 

8 is the number if he gets who he wants in terms of new players and those previously with us and offered contracts accept - so every chance there will be a bit of flexibility on this number

 

Needs to improve a little yet, Got left out to dry a few times last season

 

We’ve not seen anything of him at CB. He might find himself mostly on the bench this season.

 

None of the current squad are good enough to fulfill the full back positions.... lets hope Adams sees that.

 

Full back wise, Threkeld and Ridehalgh have been mentioned on here and if they haven't been snapped up yet expect them to arrive as experienced L2 players.
