Completely agree, they knew the limitations of that squad and to be fair probably got as good out of it as any manager would.

 

Cole Stockton who somebody suggested was going to Arrive with Adams is being linked with Fleetwood and Bolton

 

All hell is gonna break loose if we sign a manager that rates Kelvin Mellor.

I distinctly remember Mellor being judged to be one of the worst players to ever don a City shirt according to some.

 

Bit disrespectful that lad given he's up against Matthew bates and Aaron McLean who would have struggled to get in the nags head pub team. He wasn't that bad but I wouldn't want him back!

 

There are a few players who fans had their knives into had decent seasons NKP, Patrick has just been given a new contract at Carlisle

 

Having a decent season is one thing, wanting them back is a different kettle of fish altogether.

Surely Adams can't have any say in any of our current targets, and it would look very suspicious if Lee Turnbull started targeting all the favoured players of another team's manager...

 

I agree as well. It does beg the question though - why did we sack them?

 

I'd have sacked them the minute they threw Paudie upfront when we had Rowe sat on the bench.

 

It's a difficult one. Most people would agree with Sparks decision due to the bad end to the season but I personally don't believe anyone else would have got a higher position with this squad of players. Easy to forget just how bad a position we were in when they took over from McCall.

 

I think they did well, and their brief tenure was a resounding success. They had a brief, they smashed it out the park. We weren't in any danger of getting relegated at any point, whereas it was a legit possibility before.

Now we can say for sure that they never get a go with their own players playing in their own formation with their own tactics; which is pretty harsh, all things considered.

 

Suppose it Dosent take much,Adams agrees to sign and he goes into training and says you fancy joining too! We ll know soon enough anyways we may be all wrong

 

Sam lavelle is a top player at morecambe captain 24 yrs old centre back 6 ft 3 already played 130 games at this level, 1 year left on current deal. This is the sort of player we should be going for, not going for big names who achieved something years ago.

 

Was he part of a Hereford side that absolutely battered us once over? Going back a few years now, I seem to remember they were doing well at the time and had a fair few loan players

 

Mellor was highly regarded when he came to us. Had a great L2 season at Blackpool and Blackburn and Wigan were looking at him. He wasnt the worst player. If Adams can get the best out of him then who knows.

NKP - please no.

 

Pace to burn and goals from the wing. Only 25 and on a free transfer. Ticks every box and exactly what we need.

Hopefully Turnbull has already identified as will know him from Scunny days.

Maybe its a Bradford thing and not a mellor thing. We are a graveyard for many career - almost a cancer to the modern day footballer.

 

Swindon have released Joel Grant and Anthony Grant. Im sure we were linked with Joel the other year and Anthony suggested on here a few times.

Both 33, so not finished yet and could get a year or two. These are the experienced older heads we need.

Hallam Hope also released and only 25. Great spell for Carlisle the other year.
