We will never know if teams below would be above us after playing there games in hand as Stuart was not at the club, I'd say that hypothetical.

My point is simple Stuart had five seasons at the club no other manager would get that without success. I hope he goes somewhere else and reaches the top in management but not back here

I agree with you. I'd rather have the points in the bag rather than games in hand. I suppose we could look into whether those teams won the delayed games but I'm not that arsed.

It is a fact that we were 6th. It's also a fact that we had an advantage by playing more games than the teams around us. Both aspects are true.

 

That is not the point @Park bantam was debating, regards Chelsea I'd suggest it was more Abramovich's money, during the time he bought the club there were very few who could compete with his spending.
If the likes of Pep Guardiola we given the squad at Valley Parade and the same constrain's they wouldn't frame any better than the 3 managers we've had during this season.

 

His first time here he said himself it was maybe too soon to be the manager, and your correct it wasn't good for him or us fan as we wanted him to succeed.
With regards his second spell at the club it was successful, he took the club further than the previous manager who had several seasons with those players, and in the second season even though he had the squad decimated by players leaving and not replaced as I've pointed out we were 6th in the table, who knows where we might have finished if Rahic hadn't sacked him, because he felt he was the "big I am" and couldn't stand the fact that Stuart McCall would always get the Legend status we fans had for him.

 

Feel your pain, mate. It just shows how desperate and appalling bad we currently are, when people absolutely love Bowyer on here. He got lucky with Blackpool and he’s like a fecking messiah.

Only as manager I assume.......................otherwise I can give you two players off the top of my head who were just as successful on their return to Bradford City...both Legends Bobby Campbell and of course Stuart McCall.

I don't buy into the jealousy attitude, that often crops up. I think it was more business like, than that.
YES - ER had an ego, but not as great as his 'master plan' had.
Stuart has, and always will be revered as a Club legend - Adored by thousands of fans. However - Stuart didn't buy into ER's philosophy - and neither did the fans. Perhaps Rahic thought that by ousting McCall's influence, he could also get more fans onboard to his way of thinking ?

It wouldn't be the first time I've seen this in the work place, if true.

 

What 3rd spell as manager? No thanks, time to look forward and go with a forward thinking manager not a blast from the past.
