I don't think its unfair to point out that Stuart's first squads were tame. When they clicked it was fantastic to watch but when it was tough they often rolled over. Again, I don't think its unfair to highlight that Stuart added flair to the grit that was inherited from Parky's squad. When some of those players moved on through no fault of Stuart's, he struggled to replace it. Again, we know that was probably no fault of Stuart's as well.
Its why I'll be keeping a close eye on matters there, not just because Scunthorpe are rivals but I want to see Stuart prove that he can get a club out of a rut. Obviously not at our own expense of course!

I've no doubt he can, and I hope he's given the time he needs to prove it. he needs to prove a few folk on here completely and utterly wrong. although some of them do a surprisingly good job of making themselves look idiotic without McCall's help.

the fact of the matter is, the one occasion in his second spell that we endured a poor run, he wasn't given the chance to turn it around.
the fact that he was getting lambasted by Edin for not playing more attacking football - so went attacking at Sheff Utd and we got murdered, and so Edin chewed him out over being too open tells me all I need to know. he couldn't win regardless of what happened and Edin was just waiting for a reason to get rid. -

Yet he gives it to two rookies, and when they can't get results appointed Hopkin who has taken 18 or so games to look like he's turning the team around. -
My point was about McCall over the course of his managerial career though. Not just with Edin alongside him. -
I'm not sure as a football manager you just walk away from your job, there are after all only 92 league clubs and I would think Championship and Premier would be out of the question unless it was Stuart who got the team promoted, just seems a little coincidental that the majority of things seem to have changed for the better since Stefan got rid of the only constant during our disastrous run. -

Yes, but you're focusing on one job, what about the 3 others where he also left no better off than he found them? I'm sure we can find excuses for each but it's a distinct pattern. -
I don't understand what bringing in what Phil Parkinson has done is relevant to the post I made ?. -

A totaly different situation at Bolton for Phil Parkinson he is allowed to run the football side of ths club without outside interference, unlike our recent coaches/managers under Edin.
It has been generally accepted by the vast majority of fans and others involved with the club that in the short period Julian has run the show things are far different to when Edin was here. -
