Could be if we beat them we get him the sack

He should be given the window to get his own men in - they were struggling before he went in, it could be the squad just isn't as good as they thought it was.
it's no use appointing a new manager after the season has started and then not at least keeping him until the January transfer window.
I've got faith he can turn it around for them. -

I think his problem is they have had a few decent results which shows the players are capable. Hopkin on the other hand hasn’t so can use the argument that the players are not up to it.
I think that could be the reason they get rid before the window, especially if they can find someone who they want in -

Always thought McCall would be better suited as a number 2 to be honest.
On one hand, dont like to see him struggling, but from our point of view, we have to hope he keeps struggling, as Scunny will be one of our rivals in the relegation battle, and personally hope they keep losing -

Lost 3-0 to Donny today... Had 4 loses on bounce if i remember rightly. If hes not sacked by today I do think he will get sack against us unfortunately.

Fortunately for him they've got us next and everyone knows what happens when we face teams with that sort of form! -
In our precarious position in the league we need every win we can get, but now that Rahic is out of the picture I am feeling more confident for the rest of the season, so I'd gladly take a single point next week if it means Stuart keeping his job and having another roll of the dice.
Either way, he is going to get one hell of a reception and deservedly so. -
I know what you mean @Bronco but reckon that come the end of the season whether we get 1 or 3 points off Scunthorpe won't matter in the slightest.
By May we will be sat pretty in mid-table so I'll gladly take a two point hit for Stu-pot. -
regardless of what happens next week, I don't think they should sack McCall yet.
swapping managers every couple of month isn't going to help anyone. his predecessor wasn't there long, do they really want to sack the new man after another couple of months before he's even had January to put his stamp on the team?
if it gets to february and they are still in the mire then fine, make a change to try and stay up, but at this stage the best they can hope for is to stay in League 1, Stuart needs more time. -
I feel like ours and Scunthorpe's course has been fairly similar. They've lost a core of players to Championship teams or expired loans in a similar way to we did following the play off final defeat. They also trusted a promoted from within manager this summer and it has damaged them further.
We have seen first hand how a handful of signings can add a bit of steel for a new manager. You look at Scunthorpe's squad and you don't see relegation material so maybe they need to trust Stuart to add a Paul Caddris, a Karl Henry or a Jim O'Brien. -

if you say so. it's complete rubbish, but don't let facts get in the way of your witch hunt. -

at Motherwell - he had his budget cut every single summer, and had his best players depart, every single summer - they are/were broke and operating on one of the lowaest budgets in that division - the fact he managed to rebuild and achieve what he did in consecutive seasons there again should be commended, not over looked because eventually it became a task too big. I notice they have done absolutely nothing since McCall resigned from that post.
at Scunny he has got into a poor side, and after an initial bounce, is now suffering similar results to that of his predecessor - to me that suggests its not just him, and that they aren't good enough at this moment in time and he deserves more time, and the small matter of the transfer window to try and turn it around.
