Just been trying to look at squad have and what for me would be strongest 11.
    O'Donnell
    Hossanah
    Anthony O'Connor
    BRE
    Wood
    Ismail
    Watt
    Pritchard
    Evans
    Clarke
    Novak
    442
I know there is some questionable players in there BRE but in a flat four think he better.
Ismail no injury prone but best left winger have.
Pritchard in middle more creative than Cooke
    Evans on right no question
Clarke up top with Novak minus height but best two better than Guthrie and Donaldson

    O'Donnell; Hossanah -- A. O'Connor -- Staunton -- Wood; Watt -- Cooke; Evans -- Clarke -- Pritchard; Novak (4231)

Watt and Cooke sit deeper, three in front no fixed position and given licence to get into the pockets between the opposition midfield and defence more to get into the space and support Novak. these three playing in the space will mean opposition central midfielder have to drop to pick them up as the defenders won't want to come out and meet them as that will leave space in behind. when their CM drop that allows Watt and Cooke to push further on over half way to pick up the clearances. full backs then push on as their forwards drop deeper to try stop Watt and Cooke influencing the game and picking up the loose ball without pressure.

all those outfield players are comfortable on the ball enough to play some football.

I can only think Pritchard must be s..t in training to be on the 'outside' of this team!

To be honest our players are much of a muchness. A lot of mediocrity and no real best eleven.

All three centre backs are similar. AOC arguably the better one.

Cooke, Watt and Sutton blur into one.

    No good wingers.

Strikers are crap apart from Novak, who is average

McCall's 'use' of Pritchard is very strange, when he first signed under Bowyer and played on the left - he looked to have a similar style to Nicky Law when he played there. Given McCall was a big fan of Law's, I think it is pretty surprising that he hasn't used him in this position.

Ismail has talent but another "sicknote" which is financially
draining with no return. We've had a few over the years.

We knew all about Zeli's injury problems, certainty a talented lad who could do a job sadly our problem is keeping him fit.

As it's just not possible to put 11 Kurtis Guthries out there, I'd go for:

    O'Donnell

    Staunton
    Paudie
    AOC

    Wood
    Hosannah

    Watt
    Cooke
    Evans

    Novak
    Clarke

Maybe switching Clarke and Evans in position.. would seem natural the other way round but Clarke has done well in the last couple of games up there and Evans is more capable of breaking through the lines so would do it this way
