And Cook in about a month or so (I reckon).

I completely understand what Ga is trying to do. If it doesnt work out we do have options elsewhere.

I think Swan staked his claim well on Tuesday. He deserves to keep the place

Humphrys with a real poachers goal. Bobby again showing he can hack L1. Im liking both in our side rather than them being direct competition to each other.

Right call from GA so far. :p

We’ve got options for sure and that gives us real hope. Swan was excellent at Blackburn and impressed off the bench yesterday. Looking forward to seeing him more, but Humph is direct and carves teams up, so think until he has a bad game, stick with him. It means we can be patient in easing Cook back in, which should hopefully benefit in the second half of the season.

Not really sure those type of stats mean anything to be fair Bots.

2 goal contributions in 3 league games (and made Bobby's in the first game really although it wasn't an assist) is pretty decent.

I'm still of the opinion he's at his most dangerous when coming in off the left but he's certainly had a strong start in the centre forward role.

He insists though he isn’t playing the traditional centre forward role though. Says he has the freedom to wander

If you play Humphrys there now (not talking about a few months time) then where does that leave Bobby?

For me, Neufville, Bobby and Humphrys are undroppable at this moment in time.

Another good performance from Humphrys on Saturday. Great for him to open his account and no less than he deserves. I really like the look of him but equally thought Swann looked promising when he came on and that competition will keep players on their toes.

Appreciate he's blown hot and cold in his career so far but sometimes a player can find a club and it just clicks, let's hope it can be us for Humphrys.

Bobby on the right. Humps has no left foot it feels like so far, so if he's playing out there he is cutting in, which would give Touray room to overlap. Similar then on the right, you dont want to cut into Neufvilles space, so the guy there would be best cutting in on their left foot, and Bobby is a very left footed player. I wouldn't say Humphrys is untouchable at the minute, glad he's off the mark and hopefully that does him the world of good in the coming weeks, Saturday was comfortably his best performance in a City shirt.

But for me his shooting has to improve, the system works a treat for him at the minute and he's getting lots of chances. It's not like he's beating 3 men and shooting or running 20+ yards with it and having a go, more often that not his chances have been one or two touches then shoot or first time shots, so he's getting the service and the tactic looks great for a striker. He has the highest XG in the whole EFL at the minute, his 14 shots in 3 games is also the most in the EFL, his 7 shots on target are also the most so far in the EFL, and his return is a 1 yard tap in. As I say, fingers crossed finally having his name on the scoresheet settles some nerves and his shooting becomes more natural, he might just have needed that one to get him in gear.

He left four players for dead on the left side before cutting in and glancing the keepers left post . How many times have we said over the years , bloody hit it……? He needs no asking, on that basis you don’t get a ticket you can’t get in;)

If he hits the target 30% of the time he will score a few for sure. Thats all we can ask.

I’ll have him to score most games tbh. Chances look decent ?

In GA's eyes I think he is currently untouchable. He is his pet project, finding his feet and the reality is we have Swan and thats it.

Bobby on the right and you lose Sarcevic. Just dont see it, Sarcevic is too influencial to leave out. Of course, he will need a rest at some point but not now in August.

Humphrys, Bobby and Sarcevic clearly the best trio at this moment in time.

Humphrys has delayed surgery on his tonsils to prove his worth to the team. Give it a few weeks and we'll have a lot of competition for one shirt.

I'd rather Humphreys got it sorted and removed any cause for future under performance.

He currently looks.like one of the most underwhelming signings in a long time. He currently looks like he cant shoot, lacks composure, is too greedy, has a poor first touch and doesn't work anywhere near hard enough out of possession.

If I was him, id remove any cause and then fight for his place. Hopefully he will turn things around, but currently he doesn't look anywhere near good enough for a place in the squad.

I find his decision to delay baffling.

Me too! If he’s delayed it for sooooo long and put it off once again , is he worried about having it?

so does he just need his tonsils out or is 'tonsil surgery' describing something more involved?! Just 'kin do it already it's not like it's some major operation I had mine out when I was about 6 years old! Few bowls of ice cream i was good as new!

It just seems weird if he keeps getting tonsillitis and there's a proven way to avoid that just do it, especially coming into colder weather when you can pick up more colds. No one's gonna give him a sticker for being a brave little soldier :@/

Agree. Especially since he could have had two weeks without missing a big game just gone

Except that GA has said that the last week without games has enabled them to analyse and work on various strengths and weaknesses with the squad and has been really useful. He seemed very pleased that Humphrys had come to him and asked to postpone the op (which was scheduled for last Monday) because he wanted to be involved in the work to improve various aspects of the team’s performance. Interesting.
