Thank you. I don’t want MH sacked. I want him to put right what is happening. It has always been my view it will take 2 seasons to get us promoted. Other teams do it in one full leap, but we are not going to do that given the many setbacks we have had. If we do it this season brilliant, but I still think our odds are better next season.
what I do want to see this season is steady progress. I suppose game points is telling us we are making progress. MH is an experienced manager maybe not at this level but he is not daft and can see what we see. He is apprehensive of being overly positive. He wants to go the steady as you go route which is fine but that is not entertaining, he also had to make sure the customer likes the product and wants to come back next season.
Last night was terrible and so disappointing. I guess we all felt as though it was a great opportunity to get within striking distance of Northampton and an auto place. It wasn't to be. However there's still a long way to go and no one should be giving up on promotion. I mean Crewe are in 17th place. If they go on a decent run they might just overcome the 9 point deficit. We are in a far far better position. If we win our next match you just watch the optimism for the autos come flooding back. It would be plain silly to sack MH, a nonsense.
give over if the players are not performing then it’s down to him to sort it out ...........soon as we went 2-1 down to Rochdale he should have changed it then ........... but god knows what him and hodges where doing with that paper ??????? I don’t want him sacked but if we are still in this division come next season then good luck in selling the same amount of season tickets next term
Im sure he would but even if some were prepared to give him the benefit initially I doubt it would take much for that to change. All irrelevant anyway as it will never happen!
We got Adams, most thought good move, we sacked Adams, most thought good move. Hughes came in , most thought brilliant. Nothing to do with Sparks ego and taking his career further, The managers and players are letting the fans and club down.
May I suggest another look at seasons 2012/13 and 2019/20?

Usual warnings apply: I might have messed up; all seasons converted to 3 points for a win
In our history we've had 22 seasons where our points total after 24 matches has been 39 or higher and yes, 7 of our 9 promotions have come in these seasons, along with none of our relegations. The best points haul has been 52 (84/5), followed by three 49s (1907/8, 56/7, 81/2). Three other seasons have been at 39, and one of those was a promotion season. Twice we've had fewer goals for than 31; 15 times we've had more goals against than 25. In all those 7 promotions we've scored more goals than 31 -- 72 in that almost unbelievable 1928/9 season -- but in 5 of those 7 we've also allowed more goals than 25.
So we can at least say it's been a decent first half (+1) of a season, that doesn't ruin our chances. Where we go from here though can't really be predicted. We've ended up champions, we've ended up 11th, we've ended up in every position between those two except for 6th and 8th. In any case, these 22 seasons have, with few exceptions, been scattered across the divisions, over 100+ years, and a wide range of opponents -- only twice have such seasons come in succession (1909/10 & 1910/11, 2016/7 & 2017/8), where there's been some chance of consistency in both our side and in the opponents faced.
Still, these worries are better than other recent seasons in which one has been working out if, how, and where the points needed to avoid relegation may be found. Dare I venture to suggest we're safe this season?

I actually know what you mean when you say the side looks more balanced with Oliver in it. I just can’t see him getting anywhere near 10 goals this season, if he is our regular striker and that happens we finish around 15th. The rest of the team can’t score and won’t contribute more than 5/6 goals between the lot of em for the rest of the season.
Was does worry me about Hughes and has done since his appointment is his dogmatic approach possession football or nothing.
We have all seen enough league two football to know or should do that sometimes you have to sacrifice your principles in order to be effective.
A more direct style with wingers often works at this level it’s far to early for all the rubbish criticism him and the team are getting today but I do hope that he is flexible enough to change things around in certain matches

So what was he saying doesn't take too long if not the thread starting. If it is the moaning that still narrows it down to me, @Parader and @Rcbantam and I don't think either of those two have made the comments you claim either.
