Bolton got a young manager in and stuck with him even when they were struggling, first sign of trouble we've got a vocal section of the fanbase who turn on the manager and usually they are sacked quite soon. If Ian Evatt was our manager and he was 19th around February time he would have been sacked long before.

 

Bolton fans turned on Evatt but he was never in danger of sack. He had a poor start but results started to pick up in November (bar in mind season started in September that year).

Mmmmmm.. so this tour all about raising income streams to improve the squad..does that sound right to you? So Hughes wanted to leave after 3 weeks well that doesn't suprise me , it must have been one hell of a shock coming here after managing premiership clubs and also seeing the dross been served up in this league. Looking at the type of players Hughes is trying to bring into the club now seems that he actually knows what it will take to get out of this league.
