Just been doing some scouting for my options and wow MLS cards on the Manager Market are still so inflated. K-League is better priced but with K-League being so difficult to watch (both with some of them kicking off at like 5am and even illegal streams are hard enough to find let alone an official way to watch in the UK) I would prefer the MLS as I watch the early kickoffs and either see parts of the rest either via MLS 360 or on the Wrap Up so it seems a better fit.

Premier League actually has some great pick ups for good prices but with limited rounds I'm not sure its worth it without knowing what next seasons I'm not sure I want to add more PL right now (Unless I pick up some PL players who will also be useful in the World Cup. I do need a Defender for my England World Cup lineup, I can't buy Guehi on principle but maybe Konsa)

 

My T1 card was



A starting MLS keeper isn't a bad pickup. He has been awful so far this season but atleast my curse of winning inform players and their form falling off a cliff can't happen Guess it also helps push me towards buying a MLS lineup as I can use my classic Gil, Surridge or the likes in a lineup with In-Season keeper

 

Navarro is a fairly nice pull. Certainly no Surridge, White etc who will score more often than not but does go on streaks and if he gets one decisive in a game he often gets multiple decisives.

I'm not 100% sure if I would go streaks or leaderboard. I'm thinking probably streaks initially to help me build up more options but as I haven't been able to enter a lineup in any of these new format ones I've not researched which would be best

 

I was 20 essence short from being safe so if I got a special I could use all the clues but won 50 to take me over. Only got a standard but knew from the highest tier a t1 was my best



The only Belgium playing in Ligue 2 was Stassin who was a T1 so was the safe and as you can see the only good choice

 

You aren't supposed to be able to. You just need to hope it doesn't auto correct itself at gw close and cancel the whole arena

 

My u23 T2 card was pretty good.



And my first craft wasn't bad.



My 2nd Craft was awful though. I used reveal highest tier and it was 2 star so I didn't waste any other clues

 

My tool for helping with the missions got broken by the internationals (I wasn't storing international team info) but that is now working so all the international matches are now included

 

Thankfully Internationals are over as I spent more essence on entries than I won.

I did get 3rd in Div 1 U23 though and won a star card. Was disappointed when I saw who I got compared to who is on the star list but actually he has been starting and doing fairly well so actually is maybe a good card to won as long as he keeps playing

 

TBH the u23 pool isn't amazing when it comes to value. Beyond Yamal, Olise and Pedri and Bellingham then there isn't that many amazing value players and even those 4 only have a small number of games left (admittedly they would have WC utility too). Then there are maybe 10 in the £25-50 range but they are mainly European players.

If I wasn't going to get one of the top 4 getting an MLS player even if their value is lower than some of the European players is more useful so I probably prefer. Mind you I might have preferred one who wasn't as young and was more established. Not least because these types of players have a habit of being loaned out to the 2nd team of a top Dutch or Belgium team

 

I wonder if they are going to bring the set feature of sub rarities into pro next season. The fact you can pull one of the shiny cards at random with extra bonus points really makes crafting, winning or even buying off the primary market have more worth as the bonus boost can make a lower tier card better than a standard card a tier or 2 higher. It would also make resale values better on these shiny cards where as right now the special cards only adding extra to the collection bonus only really matters if you are trying to get the full 5% which most don't even try for that

 

I've said this before but I would really hate subs. While I get screwed by DNP's (including this GW) it just gives the whales even more of an advantage as while you might be able to swap your 1 Star Tier player in your lineup with a T3 the whales are more likely to be able to swap out a Star with another star. Maybe if they moved to only doing streaks and no leaderboard so you were only competing with yourself rather than others it would be fine but I doubt we will see that because getting a good leaderboard ranking is more engaging than hitting a streak (and they are unlikely to want to do streaks on classic)

 

My T2 Reward. An u23 keeper who plays isn't bad even though he plays for one of the weaker teams and I don't think he is u23 next season. Playing a weaker team in Bundesiga 2 seems to see him either have an amazing scoring match or an awful one

 

Thats a pretty nice craft. I feel a little short of enough essence to do a craft as I don't have enough clues to use on any and if I get a special I wouldn't be able to buy all the clues

@Robert Molenaar I actually switched from streaks to leaderboard for the MLS this week. With the first 2 levels of streak in MLS only getting essence (and having failed getting Level 3 last week) it just seemed to make more sense as you only need to beat like 200 people to guarantee some essence. When I have more in-season MLS cards I may stick 1 on each but until I do I'm sticking to leaderboard
