I hadn't been buying benched packs since they increased the price to the same as a normal pack. I always assumed benched players were the most likely to pull in the normals packs so they were smarter packs to buy because the higher tiers if dupes got you more essence when scrapping.

However checking most of my close collections showed me that they were missing players who didn't play. So ice bought benched packs from a few leagues and now have 4 completed collections. Only issue is I'm low on essence because I can't scrap enough. Seems I need to balance between benched and normal packs

 

Yeah the off seasons pretty small. J-League is even smaller, that's back on 7th Feb. I do wonder if it will be covered though as it's not a normal season as they are switching to the European calender. Teams are split into east and west divisions. They play everyone in their division twice. If matches end in a draw they gave a shootout with the winner getting an extra point.

Then we get a stranger play off. Where 1st place in the east plays 1st in the west. 2nd plays second and so on. They play home and away and the winner is on aggregate. If it's a tie they play extra time if two 15min Half's. If it's still a tie then pens. The winner of the 1st place team match wins the league, loser is 2nd. The 2nd place teams play for 3 abs 4th and so on

 

I never bother returning them. Especially keepers as who knows when a keeper crisis might happen or the 3rd choice gets sold to someone else and becomes a starter

I only managed two line-ups but one of them had a Leverkusen player in it so is dead. Annoyingly its the one with the best of my two keepers and then 4 Celtic players and one Bayern player and I can't find out how to cancel lineups so I could put 5 of them into an Arena. I was sure you used to be able to cancel lineups

 

Annoying that you have to sacrifice the 30 day collection bonus to cancel a lineup

 

Eğribayat has just transferred to Samsunspor so might actually be an excellent pull. Certainly don't see him having left Fenerbace to just be backup at a weaker club

United were amazing today, actually played like Man Utd which hasn't been the case since Ole. So if that continues your Kobbie Mainoo and the Martinez card you won could be massive for you for the rest of the season. Both were amazing today (Martinez looked back to his levels he was before the first of his big injuries)

 

Had a couple of DNP's that killed some lineups (especially my All Star Rare) but did fairly well this game week. Got a streak (missed out on the Premier League one by 4 points), a T2 card and 2100 essence

Also have racked up over £20 in credit. I was wasting all this time trying to get the cards I needed for my common collections by buying the normal packs and apparently you stand more chance of pulling a Yamal from the normal packs than you are someone who doesn't play so you have to use the bench packs.

Annoyingly it seems if you complete 2 collections from a single pack you only get credit for one. I completed my Villa and Chelsea ones at the same time and only got 1 market credit
