We have 3 Special weeklies this Game week which its certainly nice to have a few extra competitions to enter although I'm not sure one is really worth entering

Special Weeklies
Once in a Lifetime - Win a chance of a meet and great with Zidane ** . You need 3 in season cards from the top 5 leagues and the teams L15 has to be under 270

Jupiler Pro League - As the name suggests only players from the Belgium top flight. You need 3 in season cards even though its showing up under classic

Top Tacklers - All Tackles and Interceptions score 9 points (excluding the keeper) rather than their normal score. All other points are the same. So you are looking for a lineup here full of defensive players and either a forward card where actually the player plays in defence or central midfield most games or atleast a winger who does lots of defensive work. You also most likely don't want to select players where they are likely to totally dominate the opponent as you want them to have to do a good amount of defensive actions

** Why is it always Zidane BTW? I know he is a great but considering they have Mbappe, Messi, Greizmann, Pique as ambasdors and in some cases also investors (Plus Serena Williams is also an ambassador for some odd reason. At the time it seemed like Tennis might be their next sport but they went for MLB and the NBA) and they have countless other players and managers past and present who actively play so they could mix it up.

Fun fact if you are a player with a card in the game you can request a Player Edition card. It says Player Edition on the card but the easiest way to tell its a player edition card is it has the players autograph on it such as https://sorare.com/en-gb/football/players/daley-blind/cards?card=daley-blind-2020-rare-44 You will actually from time to time come on the market, some players choose to sell themselves while others will run giveaways and the winner might sell them at some point down the line​

For both of you we still have plenty of unknowns for players so I will keep updating this.

Also I have been trying ton produce a table for each of you with the defensive action data which is supposed to be accessible via the API but I can't get it to work correctly right now. if I fix that I will also include this data but otherwise for the Top Tacklers special you will need to do your own research (Sites like Sofa Score should be useful for that)

Ok here is the tackling and interception stats. The figure is the Average number of each over the last 5 matches

So basically for the Top Tackler special you would be looking to pick the ones with the best combination of these but again you also need to consider who they are playing. For example with @Chippy cards Onana looks a good option but with Villa playing Leicester who may not get much of the ball the Villa players may not have to make many tackles or inceptions.



Anyway I'll post the updated predicted stats and scores later today as there are some transfers that look like they may be finalised soon that might impact both of you

At this point with both of you I would usually give you some suggested lineups but this GW its really tough. The Top Defenders special alone throws a curve ball as if you give these priority you are likely yo hinder other potential lineups. And onto of that we have the transfer window, for example will the Ramsdale transfer to Saints go through before the cut off to play them this weekend? And if a deal does go through in time would they be used this weekend?

And there is actually very few players who you can be sure aren't going to leave last minute, even when it looked like a transfer is now off the table.

It's going to be alot of trial and error and maybe changes right upto the last minute

 

So Southampton are hopeful that Ramsdale will be registered in time for this weekend's match so @Chippy you should have another keeper option.

Toney move to Saudi isn't a good one for you though. The Saudi League isn't covered although the Asian Champions League is so it's not a totally useless card. Actually what might be a good idea is wait until they have a CL match and then 24 hours before the submission deadline put him up for sale, you will find someone looking for a striker for that game week who will be happy to pay a last minute premium


@derrickh100 really surprised Dennis hasn't left yet. You need him to move and he deserves better than rotting in Bournemouth reserves after what he did in Scotland last year. Even with Neto looking like he is off to Arsenal to replace Ramsdale now they have brought in Kepa on loan he wasn't getting on the bench anyway so Neto leaving changes nothing

What I finally landed on for my teams

 

Just looked up yours on SorareData and interesting that you decided to skip the Tackler Special. TBH I can understand why as it certainly added complexity trying and I know I made a few compromises on other lineups to try and maximise my Tackler special lineups and maybe everyone else has done the same so your uncomprimised lineups may do better

 

We are into internationals so @derrickh100 you can't enter any players for the tomorrows GW so its just training teams for you really while @Chippy you have 4 players so you could submit a lineup with a non-playing keeper as a punt (and to get XP) but its mainly going to be putting your cards in training teams for the xp

 

Damn we missed out by 3 points from the team promotion and rewards. We could do with a couple more players in our league I think, it means we won't be guaranteed getting the individual rewards the top5 in a squad get but we are more likely to get the squad rewards for promotion that we all get.

A 19 year old Keeper isn't awful even if he isn't playing yet.

Then I got 7 reward boxes where I pulled 46 essence (I only needed one to craft a tier 3 or better) and Market Credit of 50% off Up to the value of £3.82. Might look at maybe selling a classic card and then using the credit to upgrade to the in season .

And I crafted



Last time he was in the reward pool he was a Tier 2 so while I would have loved a t1 or t0 its better than I was guaranteed. I'm tempted to sell him though, I have alot of Challenger keepers so I might be able to use the money better, especially with the MLS into its final 3rd of the season. Although he is in-season so maybe that would allow me to use someone like Carles Gil as 1 allowed Classic card in my In-Season lineup rather than having to use a keeper there
