Slowly slipping away………

As I said at the start of the season they were doing well, should I have expected a positive reply from you, why would you change a habit of a lifetime of knocking the club.

 

Ask yourself why they are not doing well?

Players I hear don't like Adams.

Problem with you is that you think everything is perfect but can't see the negatives. Blind love.

 

Yes we won 3 out 5 at the start of the season, but look at who we beat and two of those were last ditch wins.

 

A lot of hearsay in that comment Fordy, but I wouldn't dispute he does not come across as an easy person to love (said before I think he is a bit weird )

But I am not totally bothered if the players like him or not, what they do need to do is respect him and believe in him and its obvious people like Songo do feel that way.

The challenge for Adams, and where he has possibly failed so far, is getting more of the players to feel this way - but we have also blamed and got rid of manager after manager and if Adams has the belief in himself to call some of the continually failing players out I have no problem with this. They either grow a pair or we move them on at the earliest opportunity.

Had a few ciders so feeling bullish!

 

All I can think is that this lot either have other jobs or wealthy wives/partners 'cos they aren't going to be putting food on the table for much longer...

The main problems are obvious, the most obvious one being no goal scorers at the club bar Cook (injured) , and Angol (always injured).

Port vale was our season defined, miss a gilt edged chance then concede 60 seconds later…instantly on the back foot.

 

Most of the club's in the top half have PL loan players that boost the quality to challenge at the top. We should have done the same

 

Exactly. its just spin by the voices in the club to get themselves more time to MAYBE work magic without as much flak coming their way.
Then we do bugger all in January that enhances our chances and the whole circus cycle starts again because we know that many people have short memories and with it being Bradford, there is naff all else to do on a weekend so City is the only viable leisure option for thousands, so we are guaranteed to sell season tickets despite what's happened the previous 12 months.
Its a sad reflection of the City as a whole.

 

To do that you need more than 1 fit striker and a midfield that can score 15 to 20 goals a season.
Our midfielders have a combination of probably 20 goals their whole careers ffs!!

 

Sadly in my opinion this seasons promotion opportunity has vanished
It was always a tough ask for a new manager to hit the ground running and gain promotion in his first season even for our much hailed leader
What annoys me is all the pre season hype about how we were going to be "Champions by Christmas" and "anything else is failure" I didn't even mind too much the increase in season ticket prices thinking things were on the up
What we have seen so far is extremely poor, we have barring Cook who isn't a patch on Doyle/Vaughan the worst strikeforce I have seen in over 50 years, a manager who thinks chances win games trains the players to within an inch of their lives, and has only one opinion (his own) Every Saturday we have a bench that would struggle in a Sunday pub league
Am really struggling to find a plus to be honest apart from a shiny new club crest is on its way
Good luck to anyone thinking January is going to turn us into anything like a promotion winning side Mr Rupp ain't going to "shake the money tree" that's for sure
So it's another season in the khazi league and pre season hope/hype for next season AGAIN

 

I go with eyes wide open, but normally by about ten minutes need to a kip to alleviate the boredom

I’ve not lost all hope. People keep mocking but the underlying data suggests we aren’t a bad side. Whether it be xG or shots in the box and chances created….we’re up there with the best in the division.

Yes, we’ve had some dire performances (Hartlepool at home and Tranmere away spring to mind) that need criticising but generally speaking we have usually created better chances than our opponents and deserved to win more matches.

we've just lacked the quality to make our superiority tell. We have not been outplayed by Forest Green, Port Vale, Northampton, Exeter (ignore ET in the cup) so let’s not lose perspective of where we are currently at.

We’re getting undone by the lack of investment in our attacking options at the end of the transfer window, cannot convert our chances, and have paid the price with a high number of draws.

if we weren’t competing with the best teams then Adams should go, but we have competed with them.

im not having any of this ‘the players don’t like Adams’ rubbish Fordy is peddling. We have fought back from losing positions, including at the weekend in tough conditions.

we’re relying on crocks to score the goals and it isn’t happening. Bad recruitment is the cause - i don’t care who is to blame - Rupp, Sparks, Turnbull or Adams. But we need to strengthen in January to make up for lost time - we’ve wasted half a season outperforming teams but not cashing in.

I for one agree with your use of analytical data and don't understand why so many seem to think our performances are atrocious because I don't think they are at all we are just performing very averagely and lack quality in a couple of areas

Having said that I'm not sweating on my twenty quid @Bronco lol

 

As you said you'll be happy to pay the bets, whatever the outcome 2 deserving charities will recieve £10 each.
