A PM pension for life is probably the biggest draw for people wanting to kick Sunak out. There must be many MPs knowing they will be unemployed in a years time.

Will be an all time low for the Tories if it continues like it is. These elections are 4 years after the Brexit fiasco cost them loads of seats so they weren’t starting from a high point anyway.

back then they lost 1300 seats, Labour lost almost 100.

As things stand it looks like Labour at a General Election would be the largest single party but short of an outright majority. Unless Labour can increase its vote share, much will depend on what happens in Scotland, where Labour traditionally had a stranglehold. If the SNP vote collapses then regained Scottish seats could be enough for an overall Labour majority. But the lead ought to be bigger, given thirteen years of economic mismanagement and the Johnson/Truss shitshows. Starmer needs to up his game before the GE.

Someone pointed out that losing so many councillors will hit the Tories hard when organising for the next GE. Councillors are activists, leaders and have their ear to the ground at local party level and their loss will be keenly felt. Plus the local party morale is bound to take a big hit. With any luck some of them will jump ship to the Respect Party and help split the right wing vote.

If it's not in the Guardian then he's sheltered from reality, bless him ...he's never even heard of reform or seen anything of GBNews, TalkTV etc where they challenge the left not endorse it...

Think you''ll find they (like labour) have all been elected, firstly by their constituents and then as leader of their party, not exclusive to the Tories wouldn't you agree... ?

'Sheltered from reality', says the man who's never even owned a passport **so funny**so funny**so funny

Of course I've heard of Reform. They are basically UKIP.2. They are the ERG breakaways, ie those who are too right wing even for the Tory Government of Braverman, Badenoch, Patel and Rees-Mogg - all people who would have been seen as too right wing for Thatcher's government.

I see enough blinkered right wing guff in the mainstream press, without subjecting myself to the lunatic fringe on GB News etc. BTW, how much left wing critique do you read for balance? Bugger all, I'm sure.

Sun, Mail, Express, Telegraph. I get feeds on my phone from all of these. Also the Spectator. Sometimes I take a look, out of curiosity, or flick at the paper versions on news stands. I don't need to buy these rags or read them cover to cover or watch GB News to know what the right are saying. If the Times or Telegraph weren't behind paywalls I'd read more of them because, although I disagree with most of what's in them, at least their content is well written and coming from a right wing intellectual perspective - as opposed to the lowest common denominator muck raking bigoted shite in the more mainstream Tory press.

You mean the very small percentage of (mostly older) people who ever buy a newspaper these days. As usual, your view that you are representative of 'most' people in this country is delusional.
