Does anyone actual use the T&A for City news? It's all over social media way before it's ever printed.

 

I dont think people realise at the time what he was up against and to sack him and not to replace with an experienced manager probably set us back years

 

It's not like Parker has any major scoops is it? He usually just regurgitates Radio L**ds.

 

I actually dont think we where anywhere near safe when he went .............we went on a bad run after our dog loving neighbours beat us 1-0 just thought at the time of his sacking somebody who knew this league should have come in ........... but to put a player in whose focus should have been playing was yet another fook up by Rhodes and put us back years sadly

 

Tbh thinking back with all that was thrown at him Todd actually did a good job i think the frusration from us lot was how badly the club had been run.
Had to deal with Adimistration had to sell players to keep us afloat piss poor gates .......... say an average of 7k and a pissed off fanbase .............and there was despite all that some good games the double over the dog lovers and Sheff Wednesday

And you know what was another frustation ????
Owen Morrison he had it all and with the right attitude could have made a decent living out of it but couldnt be arsed for some reason.
I know mental attitude plays a lot into it but what a waste of talent.

I don't do social media,so find the T&A online very useful.It costs me 25p a week,so I reckon it's money well spent.

The T & A just about gets the date right.

It’s also useful for finding out who’s been fined for not wearing a seatbelt or using a phone while driving.

Everything else that happens in the area can be found elsewhere and quicker on various other platforms.

 

Cheers bud i knew at the time we where far from safety i get the sales of JJ and Deano if money had to be found to balance the books but to know bring an experienced manager in was plain daft ............i dont how much truth was in it with Lawn coming on board but im sure the club put all there eggs in one basket in banking on McCall taking the job and hoping that Weatherall would see us safe that season.
Still who knows what would have happened had we stayed up ???? Maybe the club needed to bottom out before it started rising again i know it shouldnt take that long to get up but 2013 like 2025 the club on both occasions looks to be a lot stronger for it ...... ..........we just need to avoid folk who claim to know football and we will be fine

 

Think you are wrong on that one. The post match interviews are a prime example. Parker doesn't do one. Jamie Raynor does one immediately post match and Parker's 'interview' in the T&A is almost word for word what Jamie has said and done. Same questions, same order - he may as well put Jamie's name on it....or at least give him a credit!!

He couldn't be bothered to turn up at the initial ISG meetings (or report on them either I seem to recall) but Jamie Raynor was there reporting and asking questions. Parker didn't cover the protest (he was sat quietly in the stands), some unknown none footballing person covered that whilst Parker was having his Bovril!!

 

I didnt mind Todd either. Difficult years but he did well in the circumstances.

 

I don't remember a manager in the history of this club who united the fan base the way Parkinson did.

Every single player had a song, or so it seemed, and every player mattered.

When Parky gave a rallying cry in the press, the fans responded - every single time.

I feel like at the moment we have a bigger fan base, credit to Sparks for that, but I still don't feel the same "we're in this together" mentality we had under PP. I think the players matter less, individually. The connection, while good, was never better than under Parky.

 

The T&A sent a separate reporter to cover the protests so why should Parker then get involved? He also does post match interviews and probably gets the same answers which are published on Parker’s Twitter feed and in the T&A. If you ever watch the pre match press conference Parker is also at that as well as Rayner and a Yorkshire post reporter.

 

I am in the same boat. Loved that era of supporting City. Donovan Ricketts has a place in my heart
