    He is frustrating with his game management negativity and has his limits but still the best manager we have had in years. He seems to be getting it wrong right now but overall he has got a lot right.

    I worry more about if League one (if we somehow got there) could really show his weaknesses up.

    I worry that if we do stay in league two, next season I fear we might struggle and the merry go round starts all over again.

    Me too.
    The players don't seem to be able to concentrate for 45 minutes.
    We've let in far too many goals in added time.
    Before Swindon I was hoping we'd be champions.
    Now I just hope we can hang on to 3rd place.
    Still it's all part of being a City fan.

    And to make things worse our noisy neighbours from Beeston have just clinched promotion.

    Marching on together.

    Oops sorry.

    The substitutions have been down to injuries, managing player's injuries (Sarcsavic) and illness going through the squad or is he lieing?

    These are posts I put in the Legends thread at start of March.

    For me the answer is NO.
    Don’t get me wrong, if we go up his work will be appreciated but I still struggle with the March 2024 stuff where he genuinely seemed clueless. And if we take out the current run, then up until December it was no great shakes either.
    Right now the team are really making it happen and long may it continue but legend is a stretch.

    And I followed it with this;

    Not sure I’m ignoring it, just commenting on the record. That being said, it’s fantastic that he has reacted adequately etc but that only represents 2 months of his tenure. Sorry, not legendary for me.

    Now it may be that we do go up but I can’t see it being anything than luck rather than judgement.

    No point extending his contract, when we lose 1-0 at home to Barnet in October and drop to 15th we’ll be sacking him then.

    World has gone bloody mad;

    Manager of the season for khazi league is;

    Our Graham
    Or
    Walsall's guy the fans want sacking(i dont as he is keeping us third currently)
    Or
    Bromley (for being mediocre?)

    You couldn't make it up!

    Seeing as he's the reason we're in third why wouldn't we,even khela said he was poorly and still some think it was a mad substitution

    Hopefully he gets us over the line and if he does, serious questions need to be asked about his thought process regarding substitutions. I wonder if he’s got too many options in defence or doesn’t trust some of the players despite what he says. Wouldn’t Callum Johnson be a better option at RCB than Byrne? Alexander seems to be panicking as much as those who played on Monday.
    The other issue I’d raise is discipline which had a massive effect on results recently. Both his 2 match suspension and Smallwoods 3 game ban have come at entirely the wrong time. You wouldn’t expect this from 2 experienced people.

    I don’t think he trusts Johnson can play a full match. He wasn’t even on the bench at Chesterfield.

    I think I am in the camp of ‘not sure yet’ but ‘should be thinking about it’.

    For all those who say ‘get rid’, then who is this replacement manager, who is just waiting to come in, and can work with the contracted players and get an even better performance out of them?

    Name names and explain how they will achieve this.

    We should be considering succession planning, rather than doing it after we eventually part ways. But seriously who is there waiting to come in?

    I look at Mansfield and Nigel Clough. They stuck with him for over three seasons before he finally got them promoted. Arguably they have less scope to progress as they are a relatively small club.

    He took some time to win me over, now he has I say whether promoted or not, we should keep him and give him another season to get us out of here.

    David Sharp did say it would take 2 years to get the right squad in place when he was appointed last year, so yes, stick with him.

    Seeing as you said "get rid" i will respond;
    Our noisy neighbours have just got promoted after a bit of a wobble yet there is a rumour that he will be sacked,
    which will lead to the headline
    FARKE OFF

    Some of us just never grow up
    He is german and so is our proud custodian owner, get a deal done danke schon

    * derek adams got plymouth promoted from L2 but it didn't take long for him to get the sack,
    a certain steven schumacher helped the argyle onwards and upwards as a coach then manager

    I don’t think he does either. I suppose the risk is that he’s hardly played any games so will be rusty just like Kelly was and we can’t afford any *@?$ ups with 2 games to go. I’d definitely take Byrne out of the side because he’ll be up against Gibson or Molineux and he doesn’t have the pace to get near either. Likelihood is he’ll either commit fouls in dangerous areas or end up pulling someone back and giving away a penalty before being sent off.
