Is it that hard to control yourself from running on the pitch?

There is plenty of space to carry on and celebrate without running past the hoardings.

I do agree with the fact that throwing of seats/ flares, antagonising stewards at away games etc is a bigger issue. It doesnt help our own fans booing and sticking up for these idiots when they rightly get lobbed out. I havnt been away much this year but certainly have not missed these pillocks embarrassing us.

It is disgusting what Millwall get away with but is a separate argument to this.

What happened to our stewards jumping on the first person to get onto the pitch - or at least the first they could catch - and turfing them out of the ground? We used to see that regularly a few years ago. It used to add to the entertainment.

    Football (Offences) Act 1991.

It is an offence for a person at a designated football match to go onto the playing area, or any area adjacent to the playing area to which spectators are not generally admitted, without lawful authority or lawful excuse (which shall be for him to prove).

Very true Chris. But as you will have noted, I had responded to your post #73 which comes before your post #81.

Significant police presence today on the upper, emphasis upper, tier of the Kop. Was it called for today?

Utter crap as usual. Blackpool fans are in celebration mode because they have got their club back we are already n danger of being fined because of the actions of the idiots you try and defend. Any more pitch encroachment and we could be given a heavy fine. Something we can not afford

    Thanks for the support Park.
Yes, Bantam Dave, it was called for. We have to snuff out this bad behaviour. As I said elsewhere we were fortunate in some ways that the seat ripping and throwing at Oxford was not seen by the Authorities there but worse than that the seat hit one of our own fans who has not had the best of health over recent years. We are taking steps to identify the two youths, egged on by two middle aged adults, who were responsible. I know the father of the person concerned is also working to get the people concerned brought to justice for what could have easily resulted in a fatality.
So yes, Dave, totally called for and be aware we only submitted our defence regarding the Peterborough incident to the FA on Thursday which may yet result in action against us, action which Park points out we cannot afford.

Firstly, thanks for the reply and taking the time out to give the clubs account of yesterday and the said policing, in asking above "Was it called for today? "

I was not aware of the incident at Oxford nor am I condoning anybody going on the pitch. Let me by very clear in that. My criticism of Park was calling fellow supporters "idiots" (https://bantamtalk.com/index.php?threads/seems-some-never-learn.2237/#post-186595) and I believe it was not an act of aggression or of a violent nature to which but one of , "enjoying a rare moment in a impoverished season and they are idiots???

So I agree we can do without the fine, to which I agree with both of you. I am critical of the use of the word" idiots" in reference to the Peterborough game and you know that @Park bantam@Park bantam.

Have you never exceeded the speed limit on your way home from VP when the roads are quiet?

Sometimes common sense has to take precedence over the black and white interpretation of rules and regulations.

Not sure if true or not but I was told that there were 3 arrests yesterday inc 1 for the Blackpool fan who ran on the pitch after goal 3.

Rules and regulations are there for a purpose. If they had not been restrained they would have been all over the pitch. And as we see everyday in this age you never know what people are capable of.This sort of thing can lead to injuries to police,Stewards, players, and the fans.
