    Completely the right decision.

Fuel cost at an all time high.

Gas and electric going through the roof.

    Inflation at a significant high.

Wage rise no where near inflation.

Some people would have a serious decision to make if ST's had also gone up.

Tough economic times lie ahead for us all. It would be complete madness to bang up prices by even £40.

Well done City for reading the current mood and economic climate.

I didn't want my words to come across as a cry for help but i really do appreciate the messages i've read on here. I've struggled with life for a fair few years and the football with my lad and the chat on here has been a constant source of comfort as has the chats with bronco where try to put the world to rights and fail miserably lol. Its been said a lot across social media and TV but if anyone is struggling please don't struggle alone.

No mate, my son is off to university and with my dad passing away I'm a bit lost to be honest. Both were an integral part of my match day routine, I've renewed today out of habit more than anything. Funny how I couldn't get the same seat due to leaving it till today but I can guarantee the row I used to sit on will be near on empty as will the row in front even though there was less than 10 seats in the whole block available.
Here's to a good season of decent football under Mark Hughes.

Yes it is a funny old world. I moved west, both my daughters were born in a county to the west of Yorkshire!

I had stopped going to City after the fire.

The oldest started to watch Sire A on Channel 4 on her own in the early 90’s. She really bought into it.

Then there was the 1994 World Cup, she was engrossed, loved it! She talked a lot about it.

When I bumped into an old friend, who was a City supporter, we discussed old times and I mentioned how my daughter loved watching football. She told me about the Richmond ‘Kids for a Quid’ initiative.

She suggested I took her to a game, with the ‘nothing to lose’ bit! I expected my daughter to last about 40 minutes…..but she loved it (age 9 on her first game).

So we came a few more times and within four seasons were Season Ticket holders.

    Never looked back.

    Friendships and networks have grown!

One of my best friends was a Season Ticket holder at Manchester United.

He took me to a few games in the late 80’s through to the early 90’s.

I thought how can I return the favour. I suggested I took him and his sons to VP, so along with my older and subsequently younger daughter, we could have a family day out of it.

They became hooked, despite them moving to Harrogate, we use to meet up at games.

They are still City supporters, have one season Ticket between them and we meet up up at Greater London games.

I will tag in @Rogered Tart@Rogered Tart as I hope he reads it and feels a bit better.

What I find about City is that although we have a lot of different experiences, live in different places, then there is a huge sense of community and camaraderie.

Don’t think I can put it any better.

Gave up my season ticket 9-10 years ago due to family health reasons, and didn't renew when this ceased to be an issue as had lost enthusiasm. However, I've decided to buy into the hope that Sparky will finally turn things around and purchased a ticket for the coming season earlier this week. Couldn't have been easier, just entered my membership number and password from previously, and had a ticket sorted for the Bradford Lifts Stand in less than 5 minutes.

Well done Kris a fantastic gesture.
James Mason when CEO ran a campaign where you could buy a season ticket for someone less fortunate.
My father had just passed , so i bought and adult and child ticket in his name to be passed on.
Maybe something the club could look at again.
We are all in this , as one and Bradfordian's. Yes we have problems , but we also have lots to be proud of.

It's been a really tough day today with it being father's Day and me only renewing my ticket. I've been a bit arsey lately and apologise if I've come across like that. Hopefully under Hughes now we can see light at the end of the tunnel.

You'll find your own path in time and there's no need to apologise. It takes time to go through all the firsts and time is a great healer.

My dad passed suddenly and out of the blue a month before the first lockdown in February 2020. I had to wait a year and a half to return to VP - alone - after a lifetime of going with my old man. The anticipation to the first return wasn't great but new routines are born and he sure as anything wouldn't want me to stop going - nor I'm sure would your dad.

The last time I actually saw my dad was the 3-0 defeat away at Mansfield under Bowyer, and up until a day or two before the away game at the start of last season I refused to think about returning to Mansfield. I did though and a late Cook winner made it worthwhile - I like to think my Dad was looking over us that day.

I was recently not too dissimilar, I've just renewed ours first time in 4 years, when me and my lad were coming previously I was bringing my disabled dad to games and dragging the young un along kicking and screaming, shortly after our last season dad unfortunately passed away, the will to buy a ST after was drained out of me, dad was gone, club were struggling, my lad had to be bribed to come along and to add to that I'm far from local.
I was shocked and quietly well happy when my lad now 17 recently asked if we could get STs again for this upcoming season, against my better judgement he didn't need to ask twice. If I'm honest the thing that does make me always smile is that my lad was born in Blackburn which is my wifes home town and during our time of going to football matches we've been to Liverpool games a good few times, tons of Blackburn games as his footy team provided ball boys so we went free whenever we wanted, we've recently moved to Cliviger in Burnley right on the border (I'm inching home lol) with Yorkshire and I've also got lots of Burnley fans friends so we've also been to lots of their games too as I get quite a few free tickets through work, but despite these other better options my lad has he still chooses to go watch City :innocent:

My dad pasted away and I still young. It's tough as mate at any age I suppose and Fathers day is a nightmare. However, what gets me through is the thought of my dad not wanting to see me upset or crumble. Nothing, wrong through.being upset though but it seems like your support network is disappearing but you have us and me mate. I might give it out to you at times but you are part of the Bantam Talk family and highly respected.

As you say its good to talk and sometimes in life you need to talk to people that just say it as it really is.

If you don't feel like going to games because its not right for you then don't go. Do something else or find something else that will help you take your mind off things or be with a new support network. No harm in that mate. I renewed because of habit not because of the marketing of Bradford City but going or not we are still all a Bantam and hope Hughes can deliver. I have given up on Rupp and Sparks. It's all down to Hughes.

As it stands at this moment in time it would have been business suicide to put in a price increase. We are facing the worst economic sanctions for a generation and the football on show has generally been appallling. And you think we need a price increase right now? Each to their own I guess

Nice to see love is in the air on Twitter. One fella said he wasn't buying this year as struggling financially, another fan picked up on it and bought him a season ticket!!!

Club has seen the generosity and looks to be rewarding the fella for the lovely gesture.

Fans paid extra this year for an improved playing budget and we assembled an awful squad, not sure another increase would have been smart.

I can't see us getting any less than last year, I'd expect the Hughes factor will add a few on to that number. Around 14 to 15,000 which if correct are.crazy numbers for a non achieving league 2 club. Hats off to this clubs fan base.

With a decent start to the season and POTD fans teams like you say Doncaster, Grimsby, Stockport and Carlisle coming in numbers I don't see any reason why 18,000+ won't be broken a few home games, over to you Mark and Glyn and your back room staff, the fans have once again shown their backing and beaten most peoples expectations.

If as you say you've watched the lads since 1958 (about the same time as I started) I know what your choice will be, you mention watching dross, I'd say most of those 64 seasons have hardly been inspiring but thats the whole point of supporting a club like Bradfotd City "next season is going to be the season we get promoted", you'll be there come July ;).

I don’t give a fig what some people think affordable football is a model all clubs should subscribe to affordable prices and the ability to pay over 12 months at no extra cost is and should be the envy of football fans up and down the land. We can rightly argue rightly that the club has been run poorly over the years with matters on the field but in my opinion they are top of the shop on this
