For a man not interested in something it has to be one of the worst investments he's has done.

Rupp and now the Corona Virus. I am shocked he didn't bail out at a loss with Edin.

Think after this virus thing he would be wise to take a hit and move on.

My original post was for the fans who think we should pay more for our season tickets, so I just suggested if they feel they what to help the club maybe they could buy their season ticket as early as possible.
Without doubt the new position we find ourselves in will make it difficult for some fans to shell out for a season ticket especially if they have been out of regular work for any amount of time, even thought Rupp is a wealthy man in comparison to us I'm not sure how long the club can extend the season ticket offer till, but we are certainly in a different ball park now I believe and will be for next few months.

PL clubs had between them over £1bn in cash in their accounts in their most recent reports. If they’re truly interested in where they loan their Pickfords and Kanes to and where they buy their Vardy and Allis from they could each chip in some of their cash reserves to help. They won’t, but they should.

During this crisis aren't we in this together as City fans? I want to help the club by getting next seasons ticket now and hope others follow suit as there will be no income to pay the wages in March or April. It's not just up to Rupp, it's up to us all as City fans, just as it wasn't just left to Heginbotham and Tordoff who have much more money than I had in the financial crisis of 1983. We all chipped in as supporters of the club. Your money is not as risk as the club will not go under mainly thanks to Rupp who will cover the monthly shortfall. Is it too much though Fordy, and I'm sure you are a genuine fan, to put your poison away for a while and encourage people to help the club rather than support those people on here who just want to moan and will leave the fate of the club to others to sort out. These are desperate times and we need everyone pulling together.

You are right Grumpy, desparate times indeed. However, a lot of people are genuinely worried about their jobs and income being reduced in the coming months, so people surely have to prioritise. Buying a season ticket is low down on a lot of peoples priorities right now, especially when we dont even know when next season will commence and whether a reduced fixture season

You wonder about these people! “The PFA has an annual turnover and net asset position of circa £24million and £48million respectively, putting the union in a strong financial position to enable it to provide considerable sums of money to each individual PFA department to further the organisations key objectives and meet the needs of all our members”. https://www.thepfa.com/thepfa/finance/about

Perhaps they should ‘invest in the future’ of the game?

I realise that it is low down on people's priorities and have sympathy ,however a lot of supporters can still easily afford it but seem to want Rupp to take up all the burden whilst I think we should help the club where we can.

Okay let’s all renew our season tickets for a season that might never take place.
And furthermore, do it before June 1st or risk losing your seat.

Let's be honest, the deadlines are nonsense at this point.

No chance the club are sticking by them, nor should they.

If they do, they will take a massive hit. It's all about good will right now.

He owns the club and is worth around 100m.

Fans need to look after themselves at this moment. Rupp can out least you in the financial race and it's his problem to fund the club. He signed up to it.

I wouldn't rather fans be financially and physically healthy then worrying about a season ticket for a season we don't know when it will take place. I would rather people keep their money in their own back pocket than give it to a business that should be getting cash support from the, owner, EFL, government plus other avenues.

You might be right, it’s probably best not to seek refunds at this stage but nor can the club expect people to commit to future events that simply might not happen.
The club might come out better the other side if the ratio of POTD is higher than cheap season tickets.
Ie. Paying £10-15 per game instead of £6.47.

Is it he is worth an 100 million pre the corona virus outbreak - no one knows what the impact will be on a person's wealth once it has cleared up - how much of his assets are invested and could be adversely affected.. How much is / can be freed up to invest?

No hence why you need to think about your own and £149 is needed for all.

Rupp, Bradford City can get funds.

The club is alright in the short term but if this drags on which looks likely then the club will need our help by us buying season tickets.

I think if this continues a couple more months they will withdraw season tickets from sale as they will not be able to guarantee how many games we will be playing next season

Sorry may be missing something here but surely next season's season ticket money is meant to fund next season ? Not plug a gap in this seasons finances ?

A quarter of EFL clubs won’t be in existence if the season doesn’t resume within 6 months so to purchase a season ticket at this stage is madness, unless you’re very well off financially which the majority of city fans aren’t.

Trust the me well off won't be rushing to buy a season ticket in these situations.

Just like they wouldn't to be rushing to book a BA flight for 3 - 6 months time.

    It's madness
