    Do the team deserve any applause when they take to the pitch on Saturday?

    I am going to applaud them, always think the carrot is better than the stick. Hoping we can get 3pts and other results go our way!

    It will go like this;

    Friday presser from one of the players;
    We felt we were hard done by last week, the lads have worked hard in training and are all determined to get a result.

    Saturday 5PM - Bottled it lost 2-1 from being 1-0 up and all melt down starts again.

    Same thing every week apart from different managers and December. Not sure they deserve an applause.

    If it is verified they have dressed themselves, tied their own laces and found their own way to the pitch - then yes.

    I honestly think we will win Saturday. 2-0. Easy as you like giving us false hope again.

    According to some on here, tying one's own laces is a thing of the past. Velcro is a much simpler solution! ;)

    Muted applause and acknowledgement. It’s basically down to them, if we are losing with a whimper again by the second half, then a vocal assault on them is fully warranted. They’d take the applause and praise if things were going well, so on the same token they have to take the flak if they turn in yet another abject display.

    Park bantam will be shaking with fury at that statement how dare you even consider booing the little lambs onto the pitch who will have turned into slaughtered lambs by full time.

    I’d give them a muted applause onto the pitch, but how I backed them from then on would purely be down to how they play, considering also the crap that had already been consistently served up. I would have no problem venting disapproval at a team that has been so useless all season. I’d totally understand supporters having a go, or put it another way, not blindly just getting behind them in so vain hope the team will suddenly go on the kind of survival run that there has really been no evidence for, all season. On the same token, fans that back them, fair enough, I guess like anything in life there are different outlooks on things. In the end, i’m lucky and i don’t have to see many games, i realise that. But i have seen relegations before so i know what it is like.

    no chance. they've been a disgrace for the whole season. Still no word from our owner on his plans too. Shambles.

    Very difficult to applaud mediocrity, but a negative response from the supporters isn’t the way forward. It’s not credible that this squad lack the passion to wear the shirt , look to former players like Derby and Gary Jones . I think Gary Jones summed it up well try hard and supporters will get behind the team whatever the outcome .
    I will be there cheering them on , fools paradise maybe .

    This for me is worse than the players. I'd guess that the last statement from Rupp was the beginning of December? Could be wrong. Don't really remember anything of any note since Bowyer arrived/Hopkin left.

    Booing is really not the intelligent thing to do. Nor is shouting abuse. We are not Sunderland.
    The best and most effective message, would be one of silence. We lose the game - people just pack up and go at the end of 90 mins without applauding. Then again, you know what, I don't think the players even care. That's the saddest part about all of this.

    I feel sorry for all the cats and dogs that have City supporters as owners :)

    I think all this negativity has "gotten into the heads" of the players !; few of them can relish striding onto Valley Parade as things stand and will be relieved when relegation is confirmed. Lets be fair few of the group possess the required bottle to prosper in " the caldron of VP". Every visiting team that comes thinks its their Cup Final and that will work against us even more in League 2 ! - think Solihull Moors !! (who I'll say now will finish ahead of us in League 2 if they are in it next season). Cannot see anything more to be gained by lambasting the players; they face a very empty end to the season labelled as failures. Already they will be looking to the final home game and finding an ache or a pain that see's them clear of it. Will they want to face the fans fury at the final whistle ? Bowyer (if he's still there ?) will field the fringe players and then we all move on.

    I'll applaud Scannell if he finds his way back onto the Valley Parade pitch.

    Shouldn't be a big problem
    Thought everyone had Sat Navs now
    Not going on Saturday vowed after going to Walsall that I wouldn't go again-until
    Wimbledon home for two reasons only
    The remembrance service
    and to boo them on the customary lap of honour(if they dare do one)
