Sam Morsy refusing to wear the captains armband due to his beliefs (muslim) brings up an interesting debate around freedom of choice and being able to do what one wants. Personally i believe he is right in expressing his wishes not to wear it although the decision has brought to the surface on social media a worrying underlying hatred toward gay people, especially amongst the young of certain demographics.

It's stupidity at it's finest. It's fair enough for the FA, PL or clubs to promote this but you can't force a player to do it when (rightly or wrongly) their religion is against it. I see Marc Guehi wrote 'I love Jesus' on his, which the PL weren't happy about.
