Think it's one step at a time.. main aim is too go up.

What you don't want is Bowyer and the players taking their eye off the ball.

It's ok @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler saying play a strong team in this mickey mouse game but football is a squad game and we need the likes of Anderson, Devine, Mellor etc all getting match fit just in case they're called upon in the league.

We'd the rainbow in our hands but Edin messed it up after the Millwall defeat but let's not risk messing up the league for a few grand here and there. Our squad isn't strong enough to be messing about wanting Cup runs etc.

Joke competition, quicker we are out of it the better. I can see it from some peoples point of view when they say it will give our first-teamers a run out in the absence of the colchester game, but it's a total one-off. Any other time we'd have plenty of games. Get through to the next stage and suddenly we are having to fit fixtures into an already-hectic December schedule. Our injury record is appalling recently so playing so many sat-tues-sat games will likely result in more injuries to key players

Concentrate on the league, that is the only priority for us, with the FA Cup being an added bonus should we go on a bit of a run

Cup run would be nice although it may stretch us too thin and promotion could suffer, both 2013 and 2015 cup runs were detrimental to our promotion campaigns. Got away with it in 2013 but 2015 cost us any chance of playoffs.

What happens if they qualify for the next round, then the next, then the next, then the final? Would you pay to watch then?

No idea, might depend if I've got nothing better to do or if my lad wants to go.

    What's your point?

I'd only go to a game in this competition if we got to the final. However, if it was against a u23 team then absolutely not.

From what I've seen of Bowyer so far this season there is very little chance of his targets being missed for the sake of a Cup run, the FA Cup games could actually help with introducing our injured players back into gaining fitness.
All your examples were on the bench at Shrewsbury and got game time, Devine getting a full 90 minutes, not sure Mellor was injured wasn't he dropped in preference to Henley.

Fair do's. Point was for all the boycotting of this comp, I still think we'd sell out a Wembley allocation.

Not sure we'd sell out but we'd take a fair number, as we always do to away games.

    Not a chance.

I think we'd shift around 20,000 but wouldn't be much higher than that.

    Not a chance.

Competition is Mickey Mouse and to be fair it should be a fully under 23's competition for all clubs.

One of the most pointless competitions in world football.

How was the cup run detrimental to our promotion campaign. I am sure I saw us win promotion a couple of months later

Might crew cut my balls instead.
