I’ve only ever had a takeaway as a party I went to had the curry spread delivered by them and it was delicious, I’ll have to book and go soon!

Just been to Mumtaz. Pricier than most others, and a bit blingy (though more subtle now), but top-notch curry.

Anam's, Great Horton Rd. Big place. Rough around the edges.

We inadvertently arrived during the buffet (14.50pp) so were a bit apprehensive but it was proper good stuff.

Have considered here in the past, looks nice from outside.
Read some reviews on TripAdvisor which were quite negative so never tried it.

It's a strange mix inside of wannabe-bling (floodlit stage, big pond) & old school curry house (bad chairs). It was also dead, which in a venue so big you really feel, although we were very early.

The food, though; no problems there.

    This week's curry: The Karachi.

Wasn't a fan previously but enjoyed tonight's grub. Guy takes order, same guy cooks order. Like it.

The Karachi is mint! Proper Bratfud curry house with Formica tables and cheap as chips pricing. It's my second favourite curry house after the Shimla Spice in Shipley. Instant nostalgia for my Bradford Uni days in the early 80s.
Did you have the meat and spinach 'Rick Stein'? Food of the Gods is that.

Going there did make me wonder how many students have been through those doors down the decades. The cutlery tonight may have even been the same stuff as back then.

I swerved the Stein Special as I'm not a big fan of meat/lamb/mutton in a curry (unless I've cooked it) but I think a return visit will include it. Another rec was the meat vindaloo.
