Agree, however 7 of us were children who ate only a bowl of pasta (which they enjoyed).
Will be returning with just the 2 of us.

Even so, if you've spent £50 a head per adult that's reasonable for a good night out.

We had to cancel our last booking due to lockdown, hope we can still get a table when next in Yorkshire.

Yeah, I know weekend tables became more scarce after the Times review.

Nice little pick-me-up after Covid for 'em though.

I was waiting for this review. I spotted Jay waiting to cross at Fox Corner traffic lights on 9th July. I guessed he was heading to the Waterside, rather than the Noble Comb. I follow him on Twitter and saw he was heading out of London on the train earlier. I tweeted him about it and Nicola at the Waterside liked it. She mentioned he had been there on their timeline but mysteriously her like and her tweet disappeared. Presumably he wanted his review out first.

Last week we took our daughter, son in law and our grandson for lunch outside on the terrace at Buon Apps to celebrate their wedding anniversary.
Thankfully it didn't rain. Food was excellent. The arancini and the calamari were very nice.
We felt quite comfortable, hand-wash on every table, all staff wearing masks. To be honest it would have been slightly better with fewer tables, just 1 or 2 taken out would have been better, but I suppose that dents their income. It was very busy, completely full at lunch time

I've been out to a restaurant!!!!!!!
First time since March (not even been to a pub). It was a last minute thing and tbh I was a bit apprehensive. Went to Sasso in Harrogate. It was a little quiet, maybe 15 or so people in, but it was a little better than the sterile, sombre experience i was expecting. Staff only wore visors when serving food. The food was superb.

Ate at True North in Dean Clough, Halifax, on Friday.

They're doing a 'free-flowing tapas' thing for 21 quid pp. I wondered if it might be yer bog standard fare but it was all v well-executed. Chirpy front-of-house team, nicely fit-out and lighting that @abbomf@abbomf would approve of.

Going back for Sunday offerings in a few weeks.

Last Monday went to Ricci's Place in Halifax. Eat out help out deal.

4 of us all adults, starters, mains and some booze for the others, I was driving. £54 all in.

I had Mussells starter-jeez they brought out a bowl stacked about a foot high of them. Was nearly full on them.

Then had salt beef and pasta. Again HUGE portion. Delicious.Had to ask to take the left overs home. They were that tasty I did not want them binning.

Nice ambience and tables well spaced out. Service was good and it has an open kitchen so you can see you food being prepared.

The outdoor tables are on a first come, first served basis. Obviously need a decent day.
Also, they are serving a slim downed menu - some of the really nice dishes aren’t on there at the moment.
Still nice, but maybe best waiting a few more weeks (or months, or years, who knows).

Has anyone been to Santoni at Keighley? https://www.santoni-osteria.com/

they have opened especially for this eat out to help out on a Tuesday and Wednesday. Going next Wednesday. Still doing the set menu of 2 courses for 21 quid so will be 11 quid a head. Looks worth it

They must have changed it slightly since we went a month ago. The outside tables were the only ones available then and we had to book.

Fantastic to see that the Waterside has reopened. I'd walked past it on the canal a few times a while back and seen no sign of activity. I was worried that it has folded. Great news that it hasn't.
