Thanks . Did wonder about the Brown Cow, that might be a good choice.

I'll take a look at the Waterside. Cheers.

    It is THE oldest.
I love it. Good old fashioned Bratfud curry house with formica tables and no fancy stuff. Superb lamb and spinach karai (as featured on Rick Stein's Food Heroes several years ago). Big plate full of onion bhaji. All cheap as chips. Decent service. On street parking.
    What's not to like?

It has always been my "go to" no frills food from really good staff. Top place.

Just booked it for Saturday night on your recommendation! We went to the old place a few times and it was always very good although sometimes it seemed a little cliquish

One of the few decent curry houses left in Bradford.

I felt it never really moved with times. Haven;t been for years buy I found it a bit too old fashioned for my tastes. Didn't it lose its Michelin Star a while back?

Went there for the first and only time three years ago, on my birthday. I thought it was pretty underwhelming. The decor was tired and faded, but not elegantly so. The food was ok, but no more than that. I wouldn't rush back.

Yep, lost the star last year then got a new head chef who stayed for about 6 weeks then left.

The head chef now had a place in Harrogate that got rave reviews before closing due to a lack of bums on seats. Wonder if he'll copper up and see if he can buy the business.

It had a bit of a refurb recently but still kept that classical vibe. It'll be interesting to see what the new owners do with it.

I like the place but it is perhaps a bit too frilly & not somewhere I consider going regularly.

It’s been grim for years. If you fancy a special night then drive out to Northcote in Langho - nice rooms as well.

    Yup, that's him.

"Grim'"s a bit extreme for the BT innit?!

My mates got married at Northcote before the refurb and they think it's lost a bit of character now. I'd like to go back and aee.

Never been a fan of the BT - don't really like Ilkley full stop.
It went through a transition, and (in my opinion) lost its identity for a while, but we've been a few times and really enjoyed it.

Is Shibden Mill Inn any good for veg/pescetarians?
Wondering about going for our anniversary but other half doesn't eat meat.
Do you know if the rooms there are nice, as thinking of staying overnight?
