Posted on another thread it should be offered by the club and not presume that no one wants one. And I am sure they will offer it.
It’s ok saying it’s only 32 quid but to someone who goes at the minute that could be a lot with the situation we’ve got with unemployment etc.

@Fordy117@Fordy117 if you don’t know the financial situation is bleak for any football club then I can’t help you. Why do the club need to say it? We have been assured Rupp will fill the void and we can only take them at their word. It’s obvious there will be a big black hole in everyone’s finances.

The club are missing a trick here - if it administratively/financially/practical possible they should look at setting up a draw to win some season tickets for next season (if to go ahead) along with other prizes, half price ST, hospitality for a game(s), shirts, scarves etc. With agreement of the current season ticket owners instead of refunding the remaining portion use this as the entry cost. It would help generate interest in the club and give welcome publicity. The club hopefully would be able to keep some of the money to help in the running of the club.

Seriously have you passed those ideas to the club? They are worth looking at.

We should be financially safe with the Premier league season being completed , we have more money to come in if Sheffield Utd achieve safety which seems highly likely .

Strange how different this thread is to what was basically the same thread closer to the start of this crisis. Most of you seem in favour of offering a refund but previously when I said it should be offered I got a fair bit of abuse for suggesting it.

Every club in the country should be offering a partial refund (even if they will play the games behind closed doors and find a solution that lets all season ticket holders watch online). Fan's don't have to take it and I think most probably will just write it off and let their clubs keep it but its the fans money, they paid for a specific number of matches and if it can't be honoured they should be entitled to get the money back for the games that will now not be held.

As someone else mentioned though they should maybe find a way to reward those who let the club keep the money. For example, they are trying to clear last seasons merchandise already, that's already a sunk cost so they could probably send every season ticket holder something like a shirt for free as its really only costing them postage OR they could send a 50% off voucher that way they not only can get rid of the stock but it releases some capital a people are still paying some money for the items (and most likely still at more than it cost them). Or again as someone suggested some kind of raffle with some prizes worth more than the £30 but which cost way less to provide than refunding even 100 ST holder. Most would get nothing for their £30 just like in any raffle but you either don't get your £30 that you weren't expecting to have at the start of the season anyway or you get something back. TBH they could probably combine the raffle and the discount voucher, that way everyone wins something (but its a win that generates the club more money) and a handful will get a prize worth something

Because as I said FGR seem to be fine as their owner is taking control and kicking on. Rupp has money so why we all thinking he won't back the club?

We don’t know what the budget is yet do we? And hopefully we don’t know. It matters on the pitch not how many zeros are on the end of the budget.

We’ve relayed the pitch? What difference is it what forest green are doing?

It’s clear we are all going to be in a different boat come next season. For a club our size we should still be expecting promotion but we don’t need to go out in the press and tell everyone we are going to spend big

The difference between FGR and City is that FGR's owner is a football guy who wants to use his cash for his hobby. Rupp is a businessman who thought he was investing in a good deal so it's to his credit that he is standing by us in this (and other) crises.

£25 might not be a lot to you but that could be a week's worth of food for someone who has lost their job, been on 80% salary or waiting in the benefits merry-go-round due to this virus. I get the point that this is money already spent but the situation has now changed and people's circumstances may have changed dramatically. Perhaps it's a family of 4 season ticket holders so could be up to a hundred pounds of very welcome cash.

I'm not sure what the terms and conditions are for the season tickets but if people are entitled to a refund then the club need to make that clear. Many will not take up the option. I'm in a fortunate position where I could write it off and I suspect there will be a lot of similar people too.

Shouldn't be too tricky to set something up on the ticket website where people can log in and opt for their choice of refund, write the money off, claim a voucher, enter a raffle or whatever the options are.

Makes it less a reason why fans should take their money back then.

I don't care for Rupp and he doesn't you. Like I say how do we know he's standing by us? Loaning money isn't standing by us.

Come out like the FGR CEO and tell us what's what!

Offer fans their bloody money back.

I'm not even sure its all because he is a football fan really either. He comes across to me as someone who will do anything that gets his 'hippy causes' some PR. It's like were Forest Green actually serious about playing on or did he know everyone else wanted to end the season so by being the only dissenting voice would get him publicity. I just

My daughter said both her and her husband got a £50 refunded on their car insurance because they haven't used their cars as the original quote stated, I read somewhere that Insurance Companies may do it, you've guessed it no response from my Insurance Company as yet:(

Admiral refunded us 25 quid without any prompt. Certain companies seem to be doing it as you say
