Can't disagree I'm one of the frustrated fans.

Funny you mention our supporter base and how disgruntled many are, it has to be bad when I question the football management at our club as I've made plain the manager whoever he is will get my support, but it doesn't help with some of Stuarts recent comments with regards a small squad no free agents, sometime you have to question decisions like that.
I get what your saying but surely getting someone in to help him with potential transfer dealings has to be a positive, yet some are still bitching with regarding the clubs decision that's my point, I would expect a comment like "at least the club is thinking longer term bringing a Paul Jewell in or AN Other to help with transfer dealings" .
Me and the grandson were watching the game and when we conceded and dropped to second bottom on goal difference the grandson said it was the lowest we'd been in his time of watching City started in Stuarts first season as manager, I can't even remember when we had to apply for re-election we were second bottom, I believe back in the day it was the bottom 4 that had to reapply, I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

You ask, What is your expectation of the current regime ie Rupp as the owner ?, lets hope his regime at Valley Parade is over sooner rather than later.

 

I would think Paul Jewell would be the type the club would be looking at, his input obviously helped at Swindon so he must still be active with regards players at our level, it would surprise me if we were looking to sign a mega scout/DOF.

It's frustrating. We could in theory have signed Nathan Thomas, Dylan Connolly and that lad Rhys today. That would have bolstered in areas we actually need better.

Stuart's iPad has been broke, the guy he's meeting on Monday in a pub car park will be fixing it cash in hand so we can get our scouting going again.

I don't see why Stuart is so adamant not to delve into the free agent market, tell said players who are not contracted to any club so not earning, I'll take you on a play for pay, game by game contract getting nothing until fit to play, fair for both parties the player knows he has to be involved to get paid.

 

He's too stubborn and its becoming on the fans nerves now. His legacy is going to be soon wiped out I sadly feel.

 

It certainly looks to be heading that way, so sad as I believe every Bradford City fan who has know Stuart McCall the man and player would want him to be recognised as a great manager for us as he was as a player and individual.

That's not accurate.

We have 28 on our books, Newport County have 35. We're counting only 2 of our kids as actual kids, Sukienecki and Charlie Wood - but in reality, there are at least 5 18 year olds in addition to those two. We should be knocking 7 off that figure of 28.

Harrogate's squad is small, but their youngest player is 22.

 

Depends who is in the squad. Ours is a combination of has beens, never will be's and the permanently injured..

Billy Sharp still not starting for Sheff Utd

 

George Thorne is a free agent, and was playing for free at the end of last season at Oxford.
Steve Davies is a free agent, and is 4 years younger than Clayton and infinitely more experienced than the kiddies we're playing.
Andre Green is a 22 year old winger who has good experience on loan.
Heck, Paul Anderson would be better than DMH.

I could literally pull together an XI that, injuries pending of course, would whip the pants off our side and probably wouldn't cost any more.

Thorne, Davies and Green I'd take here in a heartbeat, and our starting XI is immediately improved.

I'd also take Nathan Dyer giving us two out and out wingers and Jordan Spence at the back.

There is free agents out there. They would've been fit now had they been signed when fans first started clamouring for them. And they would 100% improve our team.

 

Stuart, when asked if this meeting and possible “help” on Monday would affect the budget, said no it’s not costing anything. If that’s the case, then rule out Jewell. Maybe Lawrence is coming for free. Maybe it’s Dolan offering his services. It was a VERY vague statement from McCall. Almost an apologetic, off the cuff statement.
As with everything regarding this club at the moment, I’m not expecting much.
