Had we had Wyke all year that season we'd have been top 2.

 

I can’t remember Stuart ever bringing in a player that improved the squad in his 3 spells here as manager when he controlled recruitment, so I’m filing this under can’t be any worse. If we end 22nd or above then the person who comes in has done a decent job.

 

Vincelot? or are we putting him down to Abbo

 

Not sure how you assume he'd have made us top 2 if he'd been there all season. We were actually doing marginally better before we signed him that season iirc. We were pretty much steady around the play off places the whole season.

 

Definitely not McCall, he admitted enough times he wasn’t in charge of recruitment during his second and most successful spell. He’s a coach not manager imo.

 

might not be Abbott, Jewell or a typical 'footballing man'. but it may well be someone close to McCall. if you listen back to his interview from a couple of weeks ago, there's a big clue. he miss-speaks at one point when discussing recruitment and who he has to help and he very quickly corrects himself.

We we're playing better but our issue was not being clinical.

After joining Wyke had a 1 in 2 record that season. Top scorer that year was Hiwula with 11. Wyke over the season would've seen us bag more points.
