Reading stabbings

The rules and laws don’t matter to these people. They are terrorists. Some born here some may even come over as a result of wars which we are involved in and Shouldn’t be (another topic for another day).

That’s why we need a strong border force originally to stop those people. But when they are already here or even born here as British citizens we need a strong police and intelligence service to keep them from committing these attacks. You need to work in the prisons to stop radicalisation. You need to be in college and schools and universities. Talking to mosques and places of worship. It takes time and you need to make sure you know your people on the ground. Know when it’s time to strike and take someone off the streets and when you just keep them on a watch list. It’s getting harder these days. No longer does a Terrorist use bombs or guns. They just use knives or a hired car/van and commit as many killings as they can until they are shot or detained.
That’s why it’s so important we invest in the country. Not chip away at the budget until the house falls in around us as it is now. We have created this mess.

@Bronco covid will be used as an excuse for none spending for the next decade. Mark my words. Yes it will cause a slow down in the economy but conservative governments of new and old have never wanted to invest in public services and that will continue

Uk border agency is a total mess and has continually been under funded for years. Theresa May was one of the worst ones for it.
If we “shut the door”, we have no one to keep it shut.

 

Just a note. One bat shit crazy asylum seeker amongst thousands of genuine ones doesn not make all asylum seekers or migrants suicide bombers or knife crazy murderers. Sticking with this philosophy, likewise not every Brexit voter who values our countries past and way of life or genuine football fan is rabid racist BNP supporting nazi.

 

How many more asylum seekers will we see from Yemen and Libya, two countries we have helped bring to their knees by either selling arms or bombing into oblivion ourselves. Why we get invovled out there I will never know.

But of course this ain’t a blanket asylum seeker bash. The majority of terrorists have been British born recently

Reported on the news over the weekend that there are circa 40,000 " on the radar" according to the security services

 

Yeh have to be careful with that number though. I reckon around 3-5000 will be actively watched and under surveillance. Some on the list will have been investigated in the past and may now be in prison or something.

It is too high of a number though to watch. And why some slip through the net. The knife attack in February where he was shot dead with a fake device strapped to his chest, was actively being watched by secret services but he slipped through the net.

 

I'm guessing Bradford council will be lighting up City Hall like they did with George Floyd, or doesn't it present the right "photo opportunity".

 

Show me one banner from the thousands over the news clips from the past few weeks that says Only Black Lives Matter.

 

Show me one that said 'white lives matter' ...

I'll just say this. Why when we have a thread about race issues is it always the same names with the whataboutery? Why is it the same people looking to find faults with victims instead of saying, you know what, yeah, there's some issues here that need to be discussed in an adult manner.

You and your ilk come at it with racial bias and it's blatantly obvious. There's a word for that.

 

To be fair, the way its panning out its beginning to sound that. They're losing the goodwill of people they are aiming their anger at. What started as justice for old George gone in different directions, not all of them well thought out.
