Spurs and Liverpool can claim back 125 million for their stadium improvements as part of the changes.
Haha what a load of shit. No one should vote for this

It will be interesting to see how the rest of the premiership votes on this. Let's face it, the EFL goes to the bargaining table virtually empty handed and have a track record of signing whatever is put in front of them as long as it benefits the Premier league.

I don’t believe they can. That infrastructure money is just for EFL clubs as far as I'm aware

Stop making this up. No they won't.

As for voting lots of EFL clubs backing this now.

As for PL at least 9 clubs will back it.

You do understand that the top 6 clubs are in talks to join the EFL if this is rejected.

Fordy doesn't owe you an apology. You were wrong in a way no one has ever seen before. Nobody can believe how wrong you were, and how right Fordy was. People like you are very bad people. We have to get rid of you for the sake of the forum, and it will all get better. it will be like a miracle, nobody will believe it. Nobody will have seen anything like it.

The thing is I feel the vote on ownership changes is perhaps based more around them not trusting the PL process. This idea that club owners don’t like more competition is a myth, it makes the product they are selling much more appealing and hence more valuable.

The problem is more two fold

    1) Owners who throw in money but not enough checks are in place to ensure that the club can survive without that money. So many clubs that were in the PL and now aren’t due to financial issues had those financial issues due to owners throwing money at them only to then stop. The FFP regulations now in place prevent clubs just throwing money at the situation in the medium to long term, they have to build the club to support that but short term it’s still ripe for abuse if the right oversight isn’t done right away, for example the situations at the likes of Portsmouth and Blackburn. When clubs like this gets into trouble it causes issues to all PL clubs on a number of levels.

    2) Sports washing. City’s political situation while not the worst in that region does tarnish the league reputation while being used to make people forget the issues going on in their country. Saudi royal family as owners would be a million times worse. The league were trying to do anything they could not to turn it down no matter how shady things were, they were almost begging the government to make the decision for them and if it wasn’t for the piracy issue you can guarantee they would have ok'd it to the detriment of English football

    - Fair enough..It's a way of getting votes I suppose.

The proposal - under "infrastructure funds" reads: "Any club which has an eligible project that was completed in the last ten years … and with a minimum spend of £50 million per project receives 50 per cent of the assistant payments they would be eligible to receive under this program for 15 years (eg Tottenham, Liverpool, Man City and Brighton ) resulting in a total of 25 per cent of the capital improvement."

City and Brighton had works completed on their stadiums in 2015 and 2011 respectively.

The proposal would be of huge benefit to Everton, as they could receive half of the £500m needed to build their new stadium at Bramley Moore Dock, while Liverpool are also looking to make further developments to their stadium.

Rick Parry would seem to be a problem. He's better off out of that group, if it's true. David has integrity, the rest....

The problem with having integrity is you end up leaving the work to those who lack it.

Is that what Greg Abbott was talking about a to why he didn't quit under Rahic?

But will the money be used by EFL club owners to improve the team and improve grounds and amenities for the paying fans, we've just had a salary cap introduced, or will it just to into their back pockets ?.

Whilst that is understanable i think this is a tad naive. Are there any rules that - in this scenario clearly state on what grounds you can vote against a buyer? Otherwise its Turkeys voting for christmas. I could be more accepting if there is history of this happening in the PL but i cannot recalled a wigan or a bury happening in the PL. This is because - i believe, that the PL is already quite stringent in their process.
