Yeah no doubt about that. It's one of those movies that when I see it is on the TV I end up sitting and watching it.

Grand Theft Auto Vice City is pretty much ripped off from the movie.

 

Be interestimg if Ryan arramged the friendly so his mate could take advantagr and do the tour. Wonder who is paying for the teams flights and accomadation to play an uneeded game against such low opposotiom

 

You do know that the packages don't include flights, so that will be another £300-£400 on top, doesn't mention any meals so that is on top again. Suddenly it doesn't look to be that great a price. Especially when adding in there is no ATOL or ABTA protection

 

It’s included in a training camp just like the one last year and what most teams do every year

 

Look up flights with jet 2 on that date.if you book early you will find the total with hotel and flight is comparable and probably cheaper than a package holiday on those dates

 

I have and the package holiday is cheaper when you factor everything in eg food, protection etc.

So not a bloody bargain

What a load of tosh they have put an offer up there if you don’t like it ignore it. It’s no dearer than buying a package holiday on the Costa Blanca I have never heard such a ridiculous fuss over nothing. Just another piece of anti establishments people seem to thrive on

I enjoy these sort of threads for the ensuing meltdown. But then i couldn't really care less about watching pre season friendlies, just a load of blokes gaining fitness. If it was a game that had some semblance of importance i might acutally give a shit.

 

You are right in the respect that nobody is being forced to buy it, but to suggest it's no dearer than a package holiday is complete nonsense. The holidays you were trying to compare it to were for a week and included flights, plus those deals have the added advantage of letting you know which hotel it is that you are actually paying for. The club's offer in comparison is extremely poor. You only have to look at the bronze offer to see what a rip of it is - £59 for a ticket to the game and transport there and back - this isn't Barcelona we are playing, it's the equivalent of BPA so the face value of the ticket is going to be no more than a tenner which means they are charging well over the odds for travel. If you think the silver and gold packages will be any different in terms of value for money then you are more deluded than I thought.

 

No, it is terrible value and they are simply and clearly just trying to rip off any naive fans of Bradford city by masquerading it as some sort of European tour. It’s shameful, underhand, and pathetic

 

I wouldn't for one minute contemplate purchasing any of the deals, but what does annoy me is that they make it quite plain you can't watch the friendly without one of their deals, is Rahic back at the club, that's exactly the sort of stunt I expect of him, the prices they are quoting I cant see anyone buying any of the bands Gold, Silver or Bronze, send it to the BBC "Rip off Britain" these 3 will get it sorted Julia Somerville, Gloria Hunniford and Angela Rippon.

Yes and No. yes it is an offer that you either accept or not. However, they are using the clubs good name to promote an inferior product. Fans enjoy the friendlies and the fact they can have a holiday at the same time. Personally I like my holidays completely separate from anything to do with football.

Are you on the understanding that a flight to Benidorm if the same as a bus to Bradford, because that's the only way it would be the same or cheaper than a self arranged package deal ?

It's totally micky mouse with no commitment from the arranger to provide anything other than a fleapit hotel and a bus from the airport. The whole thing will be inhabited by piss heads from the Ointment/ Rose & Crown.

Nowhere has it said this is at the clubs ground. I wouldn't be surprised if it's at a fenced off training ground and the fan zone is a large tent selling bottles.

The whole thing smells of chancery and opportunism.

 

Thankfully my life doesn't revolve around an obsession like football and I certainly wouldn't be arranging my holidays around a pre season friendly tour. But whatever floats your boat I guess.ive just found this whole thread a bit bizarre, folk doing serious detective work about people's backgrounds and work practices. Like I said, maybe I'm just not loyal enough to be an uberfan.

The very reason I used the word “naive”. It is an extremely inferior product, run by a travel company operating for less than 2 months, no abta/atol protection. In other words, a complete rip off for whoever buys it
