How did Orient take 2.5k to Town but Wycombe only take 500 to us? Both are around 200 miles away.

Granted Orient get around 2k more at home than Wycombe but thats still a massive descrepency. Its 33% vs 10%.

They didn't. Orient had approx 6/700 at Town yesterday.

City had 19,604, with 580 from Wycombe. So 19,024 supporting City.

Udders (the dogs) gate was recorded as 17,062. Not sure that Orient took 2,500 which is apparently the maximum number of away supporters. Anyone got a detailed link.

Only Cardiff (and then only just) with 19,615 had a larger number of sold seats (specific term to avoid real attendance)!

Whatever the actual performance on the pitch, the owner, the CEO, the manager, the stadium, the training facilities, Bradford itself, then Bradford City is one of the best supported teams in League 1.

Through years of adversity, and the Bradford pessimism, something is going well, to attract such a level of support.

Long may it continue (and to grow)!

And not only that Rod, there is a buzz on the terraces and in the concourses. Fans wearing their shirts with pride once again. Loving it.

This is the whole thing with getting promoted.
Yes you’ll occasionally play “lesser” poorly supported teams like Northampton,AFC Wimbledon
But in between (and the majority) are the “bigger” well supported Luton,Hudds,Bolton,Cardiff etc with an absolutely banging atmosphere.

No more Bromley,Morecambe etc bringing a bus full ( and then parking that bus)

I would rejig the list of poorly supported and start with Burton, Stevenage, Wycombe, and Exeter.
Luton averaged 11,555 last season. On Friday they got 11,735 against a team which are closer to them. I would say they are a larger side, but others have larger attendances last season.
Barnsley, Reading, got more in League 1 last season. Add Plymouth who were also relegated who got 16,483 yesterday (average 16,517 last season), to your list of Huddersfield and Bolton and of course ourselves.

You would expect Huddersfield, Bolton, Barnsley, Rotherham, Stockport, Cardiff, Plymouth, Doncaster, Mansfield, Luton, Blackpool, Port Vale, Reading all bring 1500+. Half may even sell their allocatuon but ive not looked if midweek/xmas etc.

Luton next week is still a massive game even if they don’t bring that many just due to the fact they were a prem side 2 seasons ago.
They are favourites for the division as well which also makes them a bigger game than a team who bring more fans.

    Agreed.
That was the point I was trying to make.
Occasionally you’ll get a poorly supported team but on lots of occasions the away end will be full and ultimately that leads to a better atmosphere.

    Reading 1500 ?????
If they are up there ...............i dont know the distance between Lincoln and Reading but that away end was far from full.
In fact on that list the likes of Plymouth and Cardiff travelling in large numbers will also depend on where they stand in the league.

That’s what made going up extra special whilst looking at the geographical position of the clubs in the division. One just knew that bumper crowds would probably be the norm. The gate receipt increase , ie adding to turnover , would be phenomenal when comparing 24/25 to 25/26.

Don't think it's that much the full away allocation is around 2700 with over 1700 in the to Dallas stand

I dont think 1500 is a big number for L1 football. Cardiff and Plymouth very capable of that but probably depends on their season.

Reading averaged around 1300 last term so maybe depends on how they are doing too.

That's what Wycombe were initially allocated. https://www.wwfc.com/news/2025/july/08/tickets-bradford-a-02-08/
The TL Dallas Stand has a lower capacity than it used to as there isn't a block of seats by the tunnel in the lower tier.
