Just to be clear it isn’t me thats mentioned cheap season tickets for potential new season ticket or flexi ticket sales. The point as you have alluded to is targeting a a potential new audience in what was a record crowd.

There’s a simple solution to your situation. If they wanted to reintroduce the season ticket offer that is. I don’t think they will though, I reckon they like having a dead cut off point. It sets the precedent for the future.

And yet despite their possession Liverpool scored two deflected goals and a penalty and with two separate teams lost the second half

There’s scope for a ten game deal or something similar, get people involved at the start then make they pay full price for the rest.

However we would of been better off advertising tickets at the actual price on the weekend IMO.

Even at a reduced price a ST is unlikely to appeal to a 'new' audience. A lot of people who rarely see live football in the flesh (so to speak) are not going to shell out for a ST.
It's not only a big financial commitment its also a big time commitment. The beauty of a ST is that it makes regularly attending football more affordable than pay-on-the-gate. Despite the relatively cheap price of our STs it"s still a big ask to expect someone who's only seen us play 1 friendly to shell out and commit to turning up each home game for 9 months.
What I would hope is that the circa 5000 ex ST/flexi card holders we've lost over the last couple of seasons came along last Sunday and got some feeling that the club is beginning to return to the pre-Rahic days and start to drift back next season.

There would have been plenty of folk at VP either for the first time or returning after a lengthy sabbatical. Many, like me bringing their kids for the first time too. If you’ve got them over the doorstep and they have a fun day out, then when are you going to get a better time to push sales, outside of a promotion?

No chance of this happening, probably cost the club money in season ticket sales. Those who paid full whack will demand parity and then match day sales will reduce.

Flexicards still available for casual fans.

A bad move by the club if they did this.

Current price along with a voucher for the shop. 20 quid off a replica shirt. Something like that.

Wasn’t the day about raising money and awareness for the charity?

How crass would it look if the we jumped on the bandwagon, for the benefit of the club, rather than the real reason folk were there.

Well done to the club. It raised national interest and that alone should be a good enough advertising coup. Hopefully we make a good start to the season and the casual supporters will return, paying full price for the privilege.

I notice at Guisely they had decent toilets when I went in later there were young city city supporters playing football in there. They had lots of paper towels all over the floor, making it a right mess. I told them to get out and that they were a disgrace. Fortunately they didn’t stab me!

Instead of a reduction in price.
Perhaps we could give everyone a balloon if they bought one now !

The bulls have just launched a mini ticket which seems to work well, a try(tri) pass probably easier for there marketing mind, which is 3 tickets for £45. These can be used in any combination ie 3 adult tickets for one game or one adult ticket for the last three games.

Something similar may pick up a few on the pre season buzz

Only if they were to advertise at the current price. Then yes I can agree with you

How’s that fair on the people who bought after the deadline had past though. Look we’re in the entertainment business the club shouldn’t be expected to give their product away on the off chance 1 or 2 more want to come ... there was plenty of opportunity to get one and there still is. I agree with maybe advertising to them to buy one. However to do it at a discounted rate I cannot agree with
