    Given the restrictions arising from the EFL squad size ‘cap’, then in reality that is about all we can do.

    Sparks and the club believed that they could sign cheap lower league players and Adams with his record could mold these cheap players in to a promotion team, It was never going to work but Sparks sold the dream to us, This I believe is behind Adams comments on the radio

    Unless Adams was told differently that's what he signed up for.

    It's easy to accommodate 'surplus' players within the squad cap. Simply deregister them from the squad lkist in January. Their pay still has to be covered of course but that shouldn't be an issue if we are being serious about our promotion intentions. It's what Vale did with Arlo Guthrie ... before we signed him!

    It was Vale that deregistered Robinson to sign Guthrie. We got Kurtis from Stevenage.

    Because he gets paid in full if he’s sacked? It still surprises me fans expect a manager to walk from long contracts with no guaranteed earnings afterwards, some fans were slating Bruce for not walking if he felt so hard done to who in their right mind would walk away from that sort of money? Even Adams’ contract would most likely pay an average mortgage off.
