I think he could. It reminds me of listening Richie Wellens on the under cosh show last night. Jon Parkin was joking with him, saying his best work was in the box because he couldn't be arsed moving out of it.
Wellens then made a similar comment regarding Eoin Doyle, he knew Doyle was a striker who did all his best work in the box, he couldn't understand when he went to scout Doyle at City games why they had him doing the work of a target man outside the box, challenging for headers with centre backs when that wasn't an attribute to his game.
I think Bowyer tried him in every position bar his best one, Richie Wellens could see it, we could see it, the only who completely oblivious to it was Bowyer. I think we have a few players who will benefit not being coached by him, terrible manager.

 

Bowyer was just awful. To this day I am shocked @Bronco rated him.

Think Collins when alll considering was better than Bowyer. Dreadful manager

 

Didn't hear many complaining until the injuries started to kick in and the squad players weren't up for it.
With 13 games in a winning 2 - 1 at Morecombe and Donaldson got injured we weren't doing too bad.

 

We were complaining on TCA mate, warning signs were there early on. I still don't know how he managed to acrue as many points as he did, the football was dire for a long time.

 

We were boring and dreadful then.

 

I'm not sure dreadful paints the full picture, at the point @Bronco references. That said, it wasn't great either and the cracks in the plot, was their to all see. The style and character of the football was forgiven by many (not all, I acknowledge), as the results were more than satisfactory.

 

We were there through the skin of our teeth Bronco, totally undeserved.

 

Agreed and today's events, may mean the latter may occur.

The Guthrie situation, is synonymous with my personal reason why I lack trust in Rhodes and Rupp. To dilute the squad, retaining the real issue at the club in Bowyer was just plain incompetence.

 

Bowyers biggest problem was moving away from what had served him well in terms of points early doors. And that was to stay away from anything resembling a 4-4-2 because we didn't have the players to do it. Unfortunately it was as boring as hell to watch, made Parky football look like Klopps. The final nail in the coffin was Doyle coming back, he had no idea how to play him. Those four games in January, we didn't create a single chance for him, you could see the life being sucked from him every game.

 

No contest if you guys on TCA were complaining.

 

But we were there and talking at the time of a play off place minimum.

 

I’ll write off the fecker, a reserve from the bottom side in the whole league, scored 65 goals in a nine year career and looked out of his depth and not interested. His recruitment is everything that’s wrong with Bradford City and will be until a CEO who thinks beyond the end of the season is in charge.

 

How ironic this is from someone whos criticising the EFL for not finishing the season because as hes quoted he believes we could get a play off place, you couldn't make it up.......then again maybe you could.

 

We might be a bunch of feckwits but we know football and must be taken seriously. Just like Edin.

 

It's going to be a long wait @Mike Hunt before the CEO leaves I think, I cant see the owner who knows nothing about the game bringing someone else in.

 

On the other hand Rupp needs someone who can help him get his money back. I worked with a HR consultant who used to say there’s a big difference between 20 years experience and one year’s experience twenty times over.

Rhodes isn't going to help Rupp get his money back. Rhodes needs to go but is he what we need in times like this?
