I think Kelly is a very good defender but your right his distribution is poor. I know I am probably in a minority but I wouldn’t extend Chritchlow I think whilst he is quite quick I think he lays to laid back and lacks concentration. Byrne not good enough but under contract. Baldwin I like defends well and has good passing Skills however his temperament has to be questioned after what happened at Doncaster

I love Jamie Walker, but he’s almost certainly moving on. Apparently interest from a certain former manager of ours…..depending what happens with his own position.

 

If stoke wanted him to prove himself at L1 then definitely we should enquire but I would go for street at Lincoln who was on loan at Donny he looks like a player who could go places.

 

He’s too good for Morecambe .

Harrogate could be a decent destination for him?

 

They are hardly going to loan him to a divisional competitor in Donny or us , unless they say no play in opposition to parent club.

 

I agree and tbh Lincoln have some good young forwards in their squad something we should be looking at doing.

 

Tayo and Khela are league 1 standard, will be better with better players around them. Bang on about Shepherd, has a fair bit of improvement in him that our other centre backs don't. Tayo needs a better CB behind him and the player playing in front of him needs to be more.consistent, his form dipped when Bobby fell away the last few games

 

He is certainly a very good footballer, but I do realise he can’t play forever. My guess he would want to stay in these parts he is settled in Bingley. He was drinking in the Potting Shed with my two grandsons, who have been partying since Saturday. I woke up to photos of them with Jamie, they know I rate him.

 

Depends on our intentions. If we want to be pushing for play offs, I think we need better in those areas to compliment what we have on the books. Id actually prefer both on perms than loans, so we are developing our players. An investment. If they just back for a short stay then I think with a far better pool of players now available on freebies and loans, think we can do better than both.

Throwing two names who I think would be good additions. Taylor Allen at Walsall good player who can play a variety of positions and good set piece taker does have 1 yr left on his contract but if they don't get promoted then I see him moving on definitely too good for L2. The other is Zac Williams at Crewe young player but played over 100 games at 21 and out of contract though I would imagine compo fee would be required.

 

Sharpe and Sparkes will have been in his ear that now is a real chance to get his money back.

A decent budget along with a bit of magic from our recruitment staff could see us becoming attractive club for would be investors

 

And have them recall him in January?! That worked out well for Walsall....

15k already got their season tickets. Another 2-3k on L1 sentiment? Chuck in away followings of 1-2k average and pays on the day we could be around 20-21k next season. Only Bolton, Town and Cardiff will match or beat that.

No points for decent crowds, but been one on the best supported teams in the 3rd tier wont go unnoticed
