The interesting thing will be, where away fans will be seated next season?

Great point on the loan market. I made a similar one back in Parkys time - we're a great testing ground for top clubs who want to test their young stars in front of large crowds. We need to be cosying up to the powerhouse north west clubs - the Manchesters, Leeds, Liverpool. Send us your starlets for a year and they'll come back properly broken in and ready for your first team.

Next season there is a new rule in league 1 and 2 restricting how much owner investment you can spend on player expenditure, in league 1 it will be 60% over £1m and in league 2 it will be 50% over 500k. Also football fortune e.g. prize money in league 1 you can only spend 60% of it whereas previously it was 100%. It will make it harder to spend big unless you've got an owner that can spend even more. Luton coming down is also a disaster for all league 1 clubs as they will get a parachute payment of £60m so they should walk the division.

Ah I missed that. Hopefully Sharpe has been planning ahead for life in League One and we have targets lined up already. Hopefully Khela and Adaramola come back. That feels like a good deal for all concerned

Cheers Kev. I know nothing about Exeter. Fancy a trip further afield and Exeter is a new one for me. Reading, Plymouth and Cardiff also new grounds for me.

They'll be in the normal place with 2 blocks in Midland Road and then the TL Dallas as it's the only way we can accomodate 2,000 which I'd imagine a lot of clubs will demand.

Only way we would be able to change that is if we can properly segregate the concourse in Midland Road to allow away clubs to have only 1 block of Midland Road plus the TL Dallas. It would also give us a few different options depending on the demand from the away team of 1 block, 2 blocks, 1 block and TL Dallas or just the TL Dallas.

Remember some superb loaners last time. Reece Burke and Lee Evans spring to mind. Looking back at our squad for 13/14 I was surprised to see how little our first XI had changed from the previous season. Almost identical in fact. Served us well last time to a mid table finish. Just cant see the same situation this time.

Looks like we are almost guaranteed 20K + league crowds with some really decent away followings.

Makes a huge difference for the clubs coffers and general matchday atmosphere when there is a packed away end.

I bet most League 2 chairmen are pissed off that we have been promoted as we were a good payday for them and with Carlisle going down there aren't many well supported teams in that league next season.

If we're going to play the same formation next season then it's definitely worth us trying to retain Adaramola for another season.

He's had a good few months to get to know the way of playing and has the combination of pace and skill needed for the role.

One thing the last two windows has taught us is that it's hard to recruit good wing backs so we should try and get him back for next season.

Yeah it's 2,719 total, 1,137 in the 2 blocks of Midland Road and the rest in the TL Dallas. I mentioned the 2,000 as it's the minimum we have to offer clubs

I thought the metal gates on the back concourse could be reconfigured BB ? I don’t just mean opened and closed . It’s not beyond the wit of engineers to erect another set of gates just to give one block (A) + TL ?

I've not been around that area of the ground for a while so not sure how easy it would be to reconfigured it as you need to make sure there's access to refreshments and toilets and the entry/exists. It probably wouldn't be as simple as just moving a fence in the concourse. It will be possible, it will just be a question of how much work and money it would cost to get it all done.

Agree, it’s probably a cost balance issue at the end of the day as most things can be re-engineered .

I think the promotion gives us a really good chance of getting him back. He's got bags of potential but is clearly still learning. He's had a fantastic half season, and playing at the next level up will be great for his ongoing development.

The average L1 players wage is £7k so for a 25 man squad around £9m per year
