Really? Songoo was great for Hughes and our defence was strong later in the season. I’d be very shocked if we canned him. At the moment he’d be your captain in a team full of kids

 

I get the impression thst Hughes prefers central defenders to be more comfortable on the ball with better distribution than Songo'o, so that's my reasoning.

I agree Songo"o did well at the back after Hughes came in, still don't think he will be first choice.

 

Don’t disagree in you anology of Songo’o, however his cumbersome pace may be a worry. MH has stopped that formation wherby the back two sits on the halfway line when the unit if going forward, but I just don’t see him as a “ proper” CB. I agree he’s been awesome as a makeshift one though.

 

POC best of an average bunch. Put his heart and soul into it. He wasn’t the quickest and prone to a red or two. If we get Odusina then he has the potential to develop and be better than Paudie. Good luck Paudie. The best of the o connors.

 

O’Connor was our best defender and is a very good league 2 player if and it’s a if we sign Odusina we’ve done very well with Platt also giving us more strength at the back

 

Whats the craic with Osudina. Not heard of him before tbh! (Same was the case with Platt!).

 

Good old Paudie put in a masterclass of useless centre half play yesterday for Lincoln.
Managed to be involved (badly) for all 4 Peterboro' goals, including giving away a penalty.

 

The more I watch Paudie as a neutral the more I’m glad he’s gone.
What an utter donkey he is.

 

It my opinion that is nonsense Seems like he was roasted yesterday but he has started the season well for them

 

Early days, but Vernam doesn't seem to be getting much game time. Unused sub in the last 2, only 4ins at the end of the game before that.

 

I liked both but both had limitations..... I think the boys are playing against smarter bears too and maybe getting found out at their level they wanted to be at....

 

Really? So bloody glad we no longer have 'oops Paudie'. Hughes showed what a good manager he is by signing Romoney Critchlow - what a player he's proving to be for us.

TBH he was one of our better performers last season but the bar was sooo low.
I think he’s stagnated and citys partly to blame for that. He may become the commanding championship centre half I thought he would originally but it looks like he will need time to adjust playing against better players.

 

I'm yet to see him be a commanding league two centre half so imo he'll have to improve massively to reach that level.

 

Looks like he's on his way to the Championship. He was last seasons player of the year and was made Lincoln captain before the start of the season, but it looks like he is pursuing a move elsewhere.

Sheff Weds, Rotherham, Huddersfield and Swansea are the known teams to have enquired this summer but all have been pushed back. It now seems as though he will get his move with a few more teams making contact with Lincoln since.

 

Yeah, I'm not surprised at all.

He was a good League Two centre back, but beyond that it was pretty clear he had potential to play League One football to a decent level at least.

Looks like he's gone up a division and still continues to show potential that he can play higher.

Good centre back, City fans seemed to distract themselves with insecurity that he'd get sent off every other week.

 

I had the insecurity that he'd completely switch off from time to time and could easily be out paced by a half fit Sam Stubbs.

He also, wasn't as commanding in the air as people used to suggest.

That said, he'd run through a brick wall for the team, always gave everything and was solid enough for our level.

I'm surprised he's got championship interest though if I'm honest but he was young with us and has clearly developed so good luck to the lad, I hope he makes it.

When we kept going up the divisions, no one thought Wayne Jacobs would keep his place but some players just improve and get better playing with better players so perhaps that applies to Paudie too.

 

City fans seem distracted in that so long as any player runs around a lot it’s fine even though they don’t do their actual job very well.
