They used to have a 37,000 capacity stadium in Park Avenue. I never knew that.
I was only reading about them yesterday https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/nov/15/archaeologist-rich-history-bradford-lost-football-ground

Splitting the Bradford fanbase would not be good for us. -

I have a friend who is very good mates with Thommo, went to school together in Kendal and played on the same teams throughout (until Thommo got a bit good).
Apparently Thommo is seething about this dismissal. The club is owned by Americans who have no idea about football, and don't understand that 18 new players can't just get on the pitch and gel straight away. Thommo and his assistant have had their names dragged through the mud.
Thommo offered a chance to train with us by Bowyer, and also offered a strikers coaching role at the club.
Seems all is not good at BPA - it's their turn now -

Can't help thinking that that article has been romanced up a bit. What's the chances of finding some safety pins and marbles, AND finding the people with the back story behind them?
Nice to get some profile though. -

In fairness to Park Avenue, it's one thing not gelling straight away, it's quite another suffering successive 5-0 losses. and Curzon are crap.
that said, it is far too early to sack him. -
Highest attendance at the Park Avenue ground was
Bradford Park Avenue v Liverpool, 13 October 1945, 18,308
Which suggests the claimed 37,000 capacity includes the cricket ground that shared a stand or is a bit romantic, Having said that it was a better ground than Valley Parade -

I'd love them to get league status again.
Some good, but mostly bad memories of the Bradford derbies. -
I believed the City could support two teams they did for many years, they as us would have to cut the our cloth to suit, Avenue getting back into the Football League would not bring them 5/6,000 fans instantly, but I'm not afraid of competition within the City.
I doubt very much Bradford City fans would change their allegiance so it would be a slow build of fan base for the Stan's, our destiny is in our own hands and I don't believe it would be at the detriment of Bradford City. -
It would be competition for our owner/owners to make sure they gave the manager at Bradford City the means to climb the league ladder and always be ahead of the opposition. -
Lost again yesterday 4-0, played 5, lost 4, drawn 1, goals for 1, against 18, not even bottom of the league.
