Lincoln are now playing 5-4-1 and timewasting when they get a set piece something rotten .

 

As well as GA has done at this club i sometimes think he has a bit of the Gareth Southgate luck that he had with England. Sometimes you couldn’t hand pick results that go our way, just like the Walsall collapse last year and now everyone around us holding the door open for us to stroll into the playoffs.

I certainly agree that last season we did get lucky that the point needed for top 3 was so low with 78 points getting you automatics for only the 2nd time in the last 15 seasons but at the same time we were able to take advantage of it. A big part of last season was being able to recover from the bad periods and I think that is where Alexander is very strong, to say how well we've done in the 135 matches under Alexander we've had a fair few crisis moments, even this season we've probably had 1 mini crisis and 1 big one yet we are coming out of it and looking like finishing at least mid 70 points which is average for 6th place over the last 15 seasons.

 

Exactly. Control what we can control and if things also go our way elsewhere it's a bonus.

 

Lincoln won 3-1 and Bolton drew 2-2 so a good set of results.

Stockport are on a bit of a collapse with 4 points from their last 6 games and lost their last 3 league games. Must win game for them on Tuesday night at home to Northampton. Big chance today to put a double points gap to them which be very hard for them to claw back.

 

Fair play to them.

27% possession and still beat Stockport. They have certainly found a way to win games and certain promotion to the Championship now.

Not the worst set of results, end the day 8 points clear of 7th. Any thoughts people had of catching Cardiff are over now, them and Lincoln are fighting it out for the title. Stevenage game in a few of weeks is certainly a must not lose match. Huddersfield's issues seem to continue with only a draw at Port Vale, hard to see how they pick up many points over their next 7 games. Reading, Wycombe and Plymouth both dropping points keeps a big gap to them.

These set of results leave me still convinced that 3 wins secures the play offs as I don't see how 2 of Huddersfield, Stockport, Reading, Wycombe and Plymouth get to 72 points.

 

And we're doing our level best to slam that door shut!

 

If we can continue winning at Valley Parade I think that alone will see us in a play off position anything gained away from home is a bonus.

Best result for us if Luton can win, keeps a big gap to Stockport and unless Luton win every game they are not going to catch up.

 

Blackpool doing a great backs to the wall defending, could it be Cardiff's bad run starting ?.

Stockport just equalised not a bad result if it stops that way.
