    Simple.

Tonight I was very impressed with Tranmere left back Ethan Bristow, and having just rewatched the highlights (https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/12811256/bradford-2-0-tranmere-league-two-highlights), he was involved in both their dangerous early attacks.

The way he outstripped Halliday for pace was impressive.

    Reminded me of Meredith.

Only 21, signed from Reading on a 2 year deal.

One that looks like he'd step up to League One based on athleticism alone.

Also LOVED Walker's heavy challenge on him towards the end, belting tackle that!

Would be fun to have an ongoing thread for players that stand out for opponents given that we hope we'll be a League One side next season ;)

Alex Pritchard, Bradley Dack and Ryan Woods were the last players that impressed me in the league tbh. Admittedly that’s probably a really high bar to set, but this level just doesn’t impress me at all. Jonny Williams if I had to pick someone. Tbf I don’t really notice the opposition much unless they really stand out. The lad who has now left Wimbledon was good as well tbf, he was a one man team.

    Ayoub Assal?

Yeah, good player. Some team bought and loaned him out straight away, which is puzzling.

I'm half expecting someone to say Conor McAleny, but I don't think he's a L1 standard player. Decent for L2 though.

He always scores against us, but I thought McAleny looked better when in league 1 than from what I’ve seen of him for Salford. I’d rather Jamie Walker.

I remember Dack away at Gillingham. I reckon that was the best opposition performance I've ever seen.

This season I agree about the Wimbledon forward. In fact, both of them looked quality.

Hippolyte. Those two great Oldham players and any one in a team who have not won for ages seems to excel against us ….,,, oh and the Italian sounded guy in Stevenage.

Shaun McWilliams for Northampton really impressed me.
I know everybody said we were shit that day and Northampton were nowt special but he epitomised the athletic, box to box midfielder perfectly.
Scored one(by getting beyond their front man for a tap in),should have had another after clearing our corner on the edge of the box, sprinting the length of the field, but then put his one on one chance narrowly wide.

Admittedly we were poor, but I don’t think they got enough credit for taking advantage of our weaknesses with their pace and power.
If we win our game in hand then we will still be a point behind them so they’re not as bad a team as some are making out.

Pierganni, was good at Oldham too. Good buy by the obnoxious sweaty man.

Well if we’re going back, there was that Wycombe Wanderers lad, brilliant display Tommy someone, how good would we have been with someone like him? ;)

One player who impressed me over the last couple of years was Tim Odusina for Hartlepool. Wonder where he is these days

Oh for defenders that contribute with the odd goals. We have 17 games for one or two to add to the goals for column - lets hope they have being saving them for our promotion charge.

Remember watching Grealish years ago for Notts County as an 18 year old. Full of swagger even as a kid. Brilliant running style.

Hasn't worked out for him at all, unfortunately, and now well down the pecking order.

Judging by players we're letting go, he might end up at Harrogate Town

His performances earlier in the season were some of the most inept I've ever seen from a CB. Don't like singling players out but he really stood out.

Dynel Simeu, played for Tranmere when we beat them earlier in the season.
Was on loan from Southampton, now on loan at Morecambe, hardly put a foot wrong that night.
