That maybe the case, but he was also tweeting about it a few weeks ago. I find it interesting that the tweets have been deleted. If that is your view then why delete? They clearly have been using this forum for info, hence the knowledge about the club representatives contributions. It is difficult for the club to comment formally about this, as he is not our player. Swansea will not want to broadcast details of the agreement between the two clubs. The other question is why is Oli and others getting involved? It doesn’t matter to him or anyone else. The other thing that really bugs me is that they are calling into question the integrity of ppl at this club who were involved in drawing up the contract who have clearly stated on more than one occasion that there is a 15% sell on. What this club doesn’t need is for ex players and other media ppl casting aspersions at our club.

Yorkshire Post, Richard Sutcliffe. I am pretty sure his source is JR.

Ollie McBurnie, very much on the radar of newly-promoted Sheffield United, is the big one thanks to his switch to Swansea City including a clause that means Bradford will receive 15 per cent of any profit made by the Welsh club.

The Scottish international left Valley Parade in 2015 for an initial £250,000 fee that has since more or less doubled thanks to add-ons related to the striker’s progress.

If the Swans do sell for the much touted fee of £10m plus, there will be plenty of smiles at Valley Parade.

None will be wider than that sported by Stefan Rupp, the club’s German owner who will be making a rare visit to Bradford this weekend for the clash with Liverpool

15% of the profit is correct, not a straight 15%. He only left Bradford as a sweetener for when Jon Jo Shelvey signed a new contract with Swansea as they had the same agent. So I was told at the time.

    £20M - £500k = £19.5M profit.

    15% of £19.5M = £2.925M

If he is sold for £10m, and we sold him for £250k then we're owed 15% of £9,750,000.

Unfortunately if Sheff Utd are signing Maupay then they probably won't want McBurnie anymore.

That said, if Maupay is off to the Prem then the 8/1 for Mitrovic top Championship scorer wants smashing to bits with William Hill :)

What happened to the other £250k received via add-ons? Isn’t this also classed as ‘profit’, so as Hoochy says, £500k needs subtracting from any monies received in a transfer fee

Surely the £500,000 should be subtracted before a transfer fee ?
