Close, he was working in customer care, basically his job is to assist those who have mobility issues around the airport. He did an interview a few months back and said he wanted to do something meaningful whilst awaiting his next role.

He signed a contract until June 2027 with Swansea, and the interview says he is on "gardening leave" after he was sacked, still has a bit to run on his monthly pay from them.

 

Thanks , perhaps the County comment I read was being cynical ? Yes sounds like he’s on “ restricted employment” . I thought that was 6 months max in Employment Law? Hey good luck to him , but another tippy tappy merchant as said earlier.

No idea how it all works. Vaguely remember a DMAC podcast a number of years ago, he was asked a question on how sacking a manager works and i think he said he's had some that want they pay out and some that want the monthly wage still and get effectively placed on gardening leave until they find work elsewhere.

But he said that every sacking is different to what that club will do or terms in their deals. He said his compo packages are performance based, in that if they agree the aim is top 6 pre-season for example and the team is 19th when the boss is sacked, it's in the contract that the compo will be a certain percentage based on where that team sits in the league and made out that it was fairly standard practice.

Thats a shame, I wanted him to do well, think he had similar with us on his first season but the turned into a very good servant for the club.
Think some don't understand or appreciate what he does for a team, coaches always seem to notice though

Yes I noticed that. I presume is to keep the rain off rather than the sunshine as the Blackpool fans were finishing off their tan. Wind might be a problem though?
