Those in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones……
No way we have 23-24k in the stadium for home games. Without sounding like a stuck record, there’s hundreds if not thousands of empty seats inside VP when we’ve publicly said it’s sold out.

Agree. I would think that often 5-10% of sold seats, are unoccupied, and on a freezing cold, wet and potentially snowy evening, with the game on TV, another significant percentage.
However if Udders are officially getting 5/6 K less than us, then they are falling behind. Compared to City, pro rata their attendance is dwindling, whereas ours is increasing.

There didn't seem to be much by way of segregation with Stockport fans from what I saw on the highlights?

Agree our attendances are increasing with more and more interest from net new fans who’ve never been before making it even more important that seats are not left routinely unused whether they are paid for or not.

When we have a waiting list for Season Tickets, it will be time to discuss.

    In the meantime……

Luton Town Football Club has today parted company with manager Matt Bloomfield.

Matt joined the Hatters in January from Wycombe Wanderers and despite overseeing a run of just two defeats in 11 games leading into the final day of the 2024/25 season, was unable to prevent relegation from the Championship following defeat at West Bromwich Albion.

Performances and results from the opening 11 matches of the current campaign in League One have fallen below the levels expected, and the Board of Directors has taken the difficult decision to relieve Matt, his assistant Richard Thomas, first team coach Lee Harrison and first team analyst Ben Cirne of their duties.

The Board wishes to thank Matt, Richard, Lee and Ben for their efforts during a difficult period for the Club and wishes them the very best for their future careers.

Alex Lawless, aided by Paul Benson, Kevin Foley and Kevin Pilkington, will take control of the team for the interim period, starting with Tuesday night’s Vertu Trophy trip to Cambridge United.

With two training weeks ahead of the next league match, the process of appointing a new manager is now underway, which will be led by a committee involving members from the executive team, recruitment, football staff and the board.

The Club will be making no further comment at this time.

Actually I would love them to have one of our old boys, Derek Adam’s. To paraphrase one of his views, on his own abilities, then ‘…If ******** are going to get a new manager in they're not going to get as successful a manager as myself in the door. That's obvious to everyone, because my record is up there with all the records…’. Love to see him ‘Down at the Kennels’!;)

Luke Williams the favourite with the bookies. Makes sense, he wants to play that 600 passes a game stuff and so do they. Richie Wellens is high up in the odds list for that job and Blackpools too. Ian Evatt a massive favourite for the Blackpool role at the min.

At the time I based my comment on watching his post match interview and I thought he was struggling to make any sense of the game he'd just seen, I agree 100% if they continue in the way their going give Grant more time.

As you posted at the time Grant said the sort of clichés his American owner likes to hear, he thinks highly of Grant with this sort of rubbish :
"Lee is a guy that is a visionary,” he told BBC Sport West Yorkshire.

"He’s a young, dynamic coach. He’s data-driven. He’s focused and he understands Northern football.

When will owners realise that to get out of the lower leagues you can’t play tippy tappy possession based football, you have to roll up your sleeves and get out of the league first. Save the nice football for the higher leagues when you can afford the players to play it, just look at how we failed under Hughes.

Mike Williamson constantly played the possession game starting his managerial career at Gateshead, he got them stabilised after Covid and saw Gateshead crowned champions and promoted back to the National League, he then left and took over at MK Dons from Graham Alexander and lasted less than 12 months, those who saw their performance at Valley Parade could understand why he got the sack his keeping the ball did them no favours that day yet he congratulated the plyers after a 4 0 defeat for sticking with the plan.
He then went to Carlisle and lasted less than 6 months in Cumbria playing the same way.
On 3 July 2025, Williamson was appointed first-team coach at Scottish Premiership side Glasgow Rangers to work under head coach Russell Martin.
Williamson, Martin and assistant head coach Matt Gill were removed from their respective positions on 5 October 2025, following the club’s poor performance.
