They'd be nothing without Kemp. Absolutely runs the show for them.

I'm not saying Grant won't get sacked, Huddersfield sack managers regularly, but despite their 1 draw and 4 losses they are only 5 points behind us. It would be desperation to sack Grant at this time.

Well, they didn't float away on cloud 9 for sure. Perhaps they melted down into their seats.

Their forum reports home fans leaving in droves with 20 mins to go…. That not a good sign?

Pretty similar. They just took their chances.

It will be a bit similar to the Blackpool game (in terms of them trying to get the ball forward quickly) and Wimbledon (in terms of doing whatever is needed to defend).

He's been a really good signing for them. Man of the match or their abouts most matches apparently. Reid up front has been playing well as well.

That looks like it only takes into account disclosed fees? Luton for example paid £1m for their keeper and £1m for Yates and £300k for a lad from Gillingham, there's another 3 signings they made for undisclosed fees. Same with Peterborough, they signed Alex Bass for just over £300k, Khela allegedly £700k, the lad from Stockport for £300k and there's still another 6 players all of who DMAC tweeted were a "large or significant 6 figure fee".

I really like him as a player. Said it a few times when Hartlepool (loan) and Swindon signed him we should have really gone for it with him but looks like he prefers to stay down sarf...

He is out of contract in Jun 2026 so maybe 3rd time lucky!

Yeh Grant aint getting the sack after just 11 games sat in 6th. The most noise is from impatient, entitled children who swamp socials after a few losses. Every club has them including us.

I am not sure Wrexham are a good comparison tbh. Yes they spent a lot of money but that is the only connection. Wrexham had an experienced manager and an identity. Plus the momentum is the opposite Wrexham on their way up but Udders are trending on their way down. Obviously if they get a couple of wins then he won’t be taking the long walk. However, the fans are not happy even if they win and reckon they have been lucky on a couple of match’s. They sound like our fans when we had Hughes.

I was only really comparing from a "matches played, points won" perspective and they went on to win promotion. There are other points that you raise which dont work so well.

Personally, I think all the former championship sides have suffered from delusions of grandeur at the start of the season with fans thinking it was going to be a lot easier than it is.

That Hudds figure is odd . Their playing budget was set at £20m , ( Their forum ) so that must include huge wages and massive signing on fees. Yet May, takes corners and Taylor is gash , supposedly they are going to be the best pairing in L1 and will enable them to “ walk the division” , just a few short weeks ago ? Expectations or deluded arrogance?
Just sit in awe at Grants post match interview ….sounds lost, depressed and of little idea going forward . Even the Sky highlights I watched saw fans leaving in droves before they scored their one and only.

I honestly thought we would find it a lot harder than we have. Apart from us developing a way of playing that is currently working well with good recruitment, it's the pace of this division we've adjusted well to. I remember watching the Leyton Orient Stockport playoff and thinking how pedestrian some of League 2 looked in comparison.

There didn't look to be that many there to begin with, the published attendance was 18,707 I think it was a few k lower than that.

Dead right. One guy on their forum says "this could turn into a relegation scrap", another says "get rid of Grant and sign Bruce on a pay for win only contract". As you allude, all intelligent, well thought out stuff.

According to the Stockport page, they took 2,200+.
So the sold tickets (very different to the number actually in the stadium kennels) means around 16,500 supposedly on the leash, but with many of those gone somewhere else to mark a lamppost.
Their numbers are depleted, despite them sitting in sixth place.
I guess their figures will look really woof if they sink below mid table.
