That will never be proven however what is really great to hear , Rupp has attended 4 home league games on the spin.

It was that and the bullshit gates they anounced when we all knew it was knowhere near .............folk can mock the protest but all of a sudden around that time things started to happen.

Maybe it was a case of acting now before the protests did start getting bigger.

Still its nice that he aint getting nasty emails anymore just imagine what may have happened had he got someone who knew what he was doing way before that ?????

Completely agree. The praise now, is as deserving and merited as the concern and criticism was at the time.

Once the ego was parked up it seems to go a lot smoother. More staff brought on board and turnover up. Interesting about the alleged over spend of a couple of million this financial year, hopefully some of our fan base now understand about how sustainable debt works and that in theory running debt free sounds great but ultimately all successful business work with managed debt.

Think it's about time we stop with the Sparks got lucky etc. So what? Look at ManUtd. One of the riches clubs in the world and haven't managed to find a manager in years to reignite them.

Absolute bollox. The protests achieved nothing. Starting to win football matches did.

yep just shows that it is about getting lucky with the fit at the club. But just like at Man Utd someone has to carry the can when it goes badly and the more you stick your head up when it is going well the more people are going to aim at you when it is going badly.

I'd argue that the protests played a material part in bringing David Sharpe on board and materially shifting the mindset and financial strategy of the club from existence to growth. But honestly, I don't see the point I'm debating it now - wouldn't it be better to just recognise and enjoy the fact that something has obviously changed in our approach, and it's bearing fruit?

Success is almost always about having a group of people who share in a vision and purpose, with enough talent thrown in to the mix to do more things right than wrong, being resilient and then having a bit of luck.

Man United are a shambles because they lost sight of what made them one of the biggest clubs on the world and infested everything about what they do and why, from the top down.

Liverpool are now at the top because they've been well run for several years. They've also had a bit of luck - take Mo Salah. One of the best players the PL has ever seen, and Klopp didn't want him, he wanted Julian Brandt instead.

Agreed, regardless we all want success. Some aren’t as bothered as they can look like a super fan when we are crap and look down on those that don’t want to attend. They also believe the key to success is a manager that controls everything and plays 442. It’s complete nonsense but debating it with them is a waste of everyone’s time. Especially when we finally have big matches against teams like Cardiff to look forward to, instead of a mid table clash against Newport.
