And how many times over the years has a change of manager changed things for us.

Surely if Adams was on 200k per year at Bradford and was sacked then took up a 100k per year job at Morecambe then city would have to make up the shortfall until the end of his city contract

I'm 99% certain, once the manager agrees his next slot he waives his standing agreement. Obviously, some clubs might negotiate a payment and wipe hands of it but by the agreements, if that manager decides to get back in the game they walk away from the remainder. No doubt some clubs would negotiate a middle ground to save some quid too, but by the letter of the deal they wouldn't need to.

You can't waive a Statutory Right. My understanding is @king karl@king karl is correct. His contract would surely come under Employment Law. Unless he is dismissed for Gross Misconduct, the club has to honour his contract. Adams did everything required of him, mitigated his loss, but I'm sure City would be legally bound to recompense his loss ie the difference in earnings.

As i say, only going from what an EFL chairman publicly relayed on his show. Would depend on exactly what terms are in the deal signed.

If the termination details were included in the contract then I think it would be enforceable unless he can show some form of discrimination etc. Without seeing the contract we are just all speculating

All hypothetical but if Warnock does become the next manager, I think Radio Leeds should broadcast his team talks.

Not often. Because the people responsible for running the club are either disinterested, incompetent or both.

do you honestly believe that hughes can turn this around ? I'm not being sarcastic, I genuinely want to know if you think he can, because if not we could give him another five years and still be stuck in league two or worse.

If wrexham to off the boil and are 17th at Christmas do you think Reynolds & co will give him more time. Football is ruthless and stability won't always be the answer.

I'm not seeing any improvement over probably the last 10 or so games. Maybe going back to the Crewe game last season when we should've settled for a point and ended up losing (not discounting the flare). Hughes went for it and failed miserably, that's why his default is to defend. I fear we'll stick because Sparks and Rupp have run out of ideas and they'll be praying that it all works out, as we all will.

Honestly folk must be watching a different game to us ...............you only have to view the last two home games where we have only got out of jail to prove that............. I could understand if the signs where there but there is simply nothing there :(
Folk can harp on about a couple of wins will sort it out but will it really with what's on show............ We beat Crewe and Colchester and I came out of the ground underwhelmed, had we beat Harrogate it would have been the same ............. We simply in no way do we look like a team that will hand a convincing beating out more like a team that will scrape a odd goal win

Hughes seems to be grasping at straws for me with each game we play. Harps on about players out injured. Granted Cook, Pattison and Chapman are good players but we were dog sh*t with 2 of those in the side anyway!

He also needs to stop saying we dominated the game possession wise. Any team coming here knows if they sit back and play on the break they will score, usually with one simple pass to bypass our wide open midfield. 70% possession is futile if 99% of that is between our back 4 and Smallwood.

Which brings me on to the sole reason I don’t think Hughes is up to the job. Any manager who consistently plays and has Smallwood as captain needs to go. The guy is terrible and not up to playing never mind being captain!

I’m not saying a change will work (look at our previous success there) but I’ve had a season ticket over 30 years and I’m less and less interested with each game that passes. Is it too much to ask for a bit more front foot and entertaining football.

It’s will be sooner rather than later when Hughes goes, he blames injuries to Cook and Pattinson but they both played in the first few games and we were still terrible. Width of a post are campaigning to keep him to maintain stability, but it is not going to work with him. He has a slow passing style which doesn’t suit our league 2 players but he won’t change. Cooks amazing goals tally last season papered over the cracks, but he won’t bang in 28 goals this season.
